Dear frends. my mind is troubed that i dont know what to rite to you
as we are here alone with out our friends to comfort us in this time of
trouble and of morning. father had given up going to the valey this year
till mother dyed but he thinks that he will go now. you never saw a man
take any thing so hard as he did mothers death. a few minutes after
mother dyed he fainted away for a long time he was most out of his
minde he spare no trouble to wait on her or expunse to get what she
wanted he was as kind as a man could be to lift and turn her and wait
on her. i believe if he lives in the house or on the place where mother
dyed he would not live a year yet i dont want him to go away from here
for we are so lone some now that we can hardly stand it and if he goes
we will be left here alone. mother wanted us all to stay togeter if she
dyed so that we could see after the children.  mother inteended for us to take Martha and Rachel and take care of them till they growed up. she intended to go to the valey this summer if she lived but she has pased behind the vails her toils and trubles are all over the most of her truble before she dyed was to see all of her children together. she is burried a qarter of a mile from our house we can see her grave every time we look out of the door which will bring her fresh to our minds daily. i rote a letter to uncle George three weeks a go i have rote five
or six sinse last fall. rite to us often and let us know how you all are.
