1. SARAH SAUNDERS: First born to Thomas Saunders and Sarah
    Daley.
    Born 1807/1808 Co. Kilkenny, Ire., died 27 Jan 1891, Kitley
    Twp., Ont. On the 5 Mar 1827 in Perth, Ont., she married
    William Lumax, born 1799 Co. Wexford (?), Ire., died 6 Jun
    1873 Kitley Twp., Ont. (s/o John Lumax and ??)
    Both buried St. Anne's Cemetery, Eastons Corners, Ont.
    They had 13 children. Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth, John, Thomas,
    Catherine, William, Samuel, Ann, James, Abraham, Rebecca
    and Isaac.

    William came to Canada in 1819 on the "Maria" with his parents
    and siblings and settled on Lot 13 Con 6 Beckwith Twp., Ont.

    On the 15 Aug 1825, he was given a Crown Grant on the NE
    1/2 Lot 2 Con 8 Ramsey, Twp., Ont. In 1851 he sold this
    property and moved to Con 5 Kitley Twp., Leeds Co., Ont.

    William was a member of the 3rd Regiment Lanark Militia in
    1828. He was listed as Private #196. His brother Thomas was
    a Private #12.

2.  SARAH LUMAX: Born 16 May 1830. She married Thomas
     Hutton of Geraldton, Ont.
     They had 2 children. Thomas and Matilda.

3.  ELIZABETH LUMAX: Born 24 Mar 1832, died 1838.

4.  JOHN LUMAX: Born 5 Jul 1833, died 19 Sep 1905. On the
     20 Mar 1858, he married Harriet Warren, born 1833, died
     20 Apr 1924.
     Both buried St. Anne's Cemetery Eastons Corners, Ont.
     They had 6 children. Sarah, Melissa, Elizabeth, Harriet,
     George and Wesley.

         (1) SARAH MARIA LUMAX: Born 1861, died 22 Jan 1912.
              On the 18 Mar 1891, she married Robert Purcell, born
              1848, died 1924.
              Both buried St. Anne's Cemetery Eastons Corners, Ont.
              They had 3 children. Harriet, Mary and Sarah.

         (2) MELISSA LUMAX: Born 1863, died 19 Jan 1923. On the
              22 Jun 1887, she married William Bolton.
              Melissa buried St. Anne's Cem., Eastons Corners, Ont.
              They had 3 children. Harriet, Mae and Elizabeth.

         (3) ELIZABETH LUMAX: Born 1867, died 1944. She married
              Reuben J. Montgomery, born 1867, died 1943.
              Both buried Maple Vale Cem., Smiths Falls, Ont.
              They had 4 children. Edythe, Mortimer, Manfred and Viva.

         (4) HARRIET AMANDA LUMAX: Born 1868, died 2 Dec
              1907. She married John Purcell.
               They had 2 children. Bryon and Elizabeth.

         (5) GEORGE WASHINGTON LUMAX: Born 15 Feb 1870,
              died 20 Jan 1944. He married Mary A. Chisamore, born
              1882 (?), died 1949.
              Both buried St. Anne's Cem., Eastons Corners, Ont.
              They had 1 child. Clifford.

         (6) WESLEY ISAAC LUMAX: Born 1874, died 1967. On the
              8 Aug 1903, he married Catherine Elizabeth Chisamore,
              born 9 Sep 1883 Alexandria Bay, New York, died 1961.
              (d/o Nelson Chisamore and Janet Landon).
              Both buried St. Anne's Cem., Eastons Corners, Ont.
              They had 2 children. John and Maria.

              Also show name as being Isaac Wesley Lumax.

              A note in the family records suggest there were 5 more
              children all of whom died at birth or early infancy.

5.  THOMAS LUMAX: Born 31 Dec 1834 Ramsey Twp., Ont.

6.  CATHERINE LUMAX: Born 3 Feb 1837, died 4 Dec 1904. On
     the 16 Mar 1872, she married James Liddel.
     They had 1 child. Deborah.

         (1) DEBORAH LIDDEL: Married Edward Hawkins.
              They had 2 children. Leslie and Marjorie.

7.  WILLIAM HENRY LUMAX: Born 7 Aug 1838, died 26 Jan 1921
    Milford, Delaware, USA. On the 4 Jan 1859, he married
    Elizabeth Leach/Leech, who died 11 Jan 1894.
    Both buried Jasper, Ont.
    They had at least 2 children. Mary and John.

    In the 1871 Census for Kitley Twp., it shows Harvey Lumax,
    as a stray age 13 years. A Lemmex history states this the young
    son of William and Elizabeth.

    William's Will was dated 11 Jan 1894 the same day his wife
    died. No children were mentioned and he left everything to his
    2 nieces Mary and Elizabeth Power, both spinsters and his
    nephew Henry Jacob Power when he reached the age of 21
    years.

8.  SAMUEL LUMAX: Born 4 Mar 1840, died 9 May 1916. On the
     1 Jul 1867 in Pembroke, Ont., he married Ellen Leach, born
     1840. (d/o William Leach and Mary Rath.  Rathwell?)
     Both buried Beachburg Cem., Westmeath Twp., Renfrew Co.,
     Ont.
     They had 4 children. William, Samuel, Albert and Arthur.

     The name was spelt LEMIX. Samuel was a Carpenter. He went
     to Beachburg in 1874 and purchased his land Lot 27 Block K
     for $7.23 the amount owing in back taxes.

        (1) WILLIAM THOMAS LUMAX: Born 1868, Jasper, Ont.,
             died 1958. On the 25 Nov 1896, he married Margaret
             Alice Hawkins.
             They had 5 children. Lennox, Albert, Lillian, Thomas and
             William.

        (2) SAMUEL LUMAX: Born 4 Jun 1870, died 26 Aug 1870.
             Buried Emmanuel Anglican Cem., Arnprior, Ont.

        (3) ALBERT EDWARD LUMAX: Born 5 May 1874, died
             24 Jun 1882.    (Drowned in a Pond).

        (4) ARTHUR LEACH LUMAX: Born and died 1 Jan 1880.

9.  ANN LUMAX: Born 28 Dec 1841, died 11 Oct 1925.
     Never married. She was a dressmaker and taught school for
     a short period.

10.  JAMES LUMAX: Born 29 Oct 1843, died 5 Sep 1938. On the
       14 May 1875, he married Urania Church, born 1844, died
       1943.
       Both buried Jasper, Ont.
       They had 2 children. Claire and Effie.

           (1) CLAIRE LUMAX: Born 1888, died 1948, New
                Westminster, B.C. In 1906 he married ??.

           (2) EFFIE MAUDE LUMAX: She married Thomas Edwin
                Petepiece.
                They had 2 children. Clarence and Adrian.

11.  ABRAHAM LUMAX: Born 5 Mar 1845.

       In 1934, lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.

12.  REBECCA LUMAX: Born 4 Mar 1848, died 29 Apr 1924. She
       married Samuel Crampton.
       They had 1 child. Pearl.

           (1) PEARL CRAMPTON: Died 1931.  Never married

13. ISAAC LUMAX: Born 25 May 1849, died 19 Jan 1934. On the
      5 Jan 1881, he married Catherine Code, born 1856, died 1928.
      Both buried St. Anne's Cem., Eastons Corners, Ont.
      They had 4 children. Sarah, Gertrude, Russell and William.

          (1) SARAH LUMAX: Married S.J. Leach.
               They had 4 children. Greta, Harold, Willis and Thelma.

                Lived in Saskatoon, Sask.

          (2) GERTRUDE LUMAX: Married George Steward.
               They had 3 children. Bell, Ross and Joan.

                Gertrude re-married William Cameron.

          (3) RUSSELL LUMAX: Born 1882, died 1 Feb 1975. On
               the 22 Mar 1911, in Munster, Ont., he married Margaret
               Montgomery, born 1888, died 4 May 1968. (d/o Robert
               Montgomery and Jane Eliza Fisher).
               Both buried Hillcrest Cemetery Smiths Falls, Ont.
               They had 2 children. Claire and Harry.

          (4) WILLIAM HAROLD LUMAX: Born 1899 (?), died 1962.
               He married Susan Anna Montgomery, born 1893, died
               1978. (d/o Robert Montgomery and Jane Eliza Fisher).
               Both buried Wolford Chapel Cemetery.
               They had 1 child. Allan.
