Henri Dikongue is part of a new generation of African singer-songwriters, along with the Congolese Lokua Kanza. Influences of makossa, Eboa Lotin, and Francis Bebey can easily be traced in his music, as well as some latin flavour.
Dikongue learnt to play the guitar at a Paris music school, when he was studying law. Before that, he and Manuel Wandji were part of a cultural association of Cameroonian students, making music as accompaniment during performances and story-telling.

Highly recommended!
