There's a Soukous Festival in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Friday, March 5, 1999 in the Melkweg. With Evoloko Jocker & the Langa Langa Stars and SD Malaika, both from the Democratic Republic of Congo
The 11th Afrika Festival in Würzburg, Germany, May 28-30, 1999. This year, the focus will be on music from Southern Africa (Busi Mlhongo) and the Caribbean (Kassav). Also expected to perform is Baaba Maal!
