Japanese drivers license (if you have one).  It really says that!   

An interpreter if you need one  
Please allow 30 minutes for this visit... if you are lucky.
  They will make copies of all your document and give them back to you, minus the translation. They will then take ten days to two weeks to examine your documents and make sure you are who you say you are. If everything is in order Ino will contact you to either pick up your Japanese license or come in to take the exam.
Note: When you hand in your documents they will ask you if you will drive a manual or automatic transmission car (MT or AT). Your answer will determine what type of car you are allowed to drive. A MT license does allow you to drive either type of car. An AT license does not allow you to drive an MT. If you are taking the driving exam (Section B folks) you will test in a car that has the type of transmission you indicated, and in the case of MT, will add some extra things for you to do on the driving exam.
    Here is where our paths divide depending on which country you are from. Some of you are from countries which Japan has decided have licensing, training procedures, and road conditions similar to their own. The rest of you might as well be from Mars. I am dividing the site into sections depending on which path you must take.
