Congratulations you are almost home free. Hopefully you have the licensing fee I mentioned a ways back (\1,750). You will need that now. After getting some more sheets of revenue stamps on the first floor, go upstairs and hand everything to one of the ladies in the licensing department. Just wander around until someone sees you. |

They will make a mock up of your license and make sure they have all the proper info in the right places. They will also take your IDP as you can no longer use it in Japan. They will tell you that if you want to go on vacation overseas and drive, check with a travel agent near you. Most of them can point you towards who can issue a different IDP. |

You will have your photo taken and then attend a lecture with all the other greenhorns. You will learn about all sorts of wonderful and exciting things. I don't want to give it all away, but at least look like you are paying attentiion. In my group, the people who fell asleep or weren't listening got asked questions. After this hour long lecuture they will give you your license, about 4pm. |

Your license is good for three years and you should never have to come back to Ino if you stay straight with the law. It is your own funeral if you don't so don't come complaining to us. You are now legal to drive in Japan! Go home, have a nice dinner and thank the deity of your choice that it is all over. Wake up the next day and go back to educating the youth of Japan. |
