My Trip to Sirmione, Lago di Garda
We came to Lago di Garda after we spent the afternoon in Venice. We had heard there was good camping there. We arrived quite late but unfortunately we did not seem to find the road to the campgrounds. After getting lost for more than an hour we finally found it. Tired and frustrated we arrived around 10pm at the Sirmione Camping. They discussed between themselves if they should accept us or not, like if we were easily disposable or if we were a piece of meat. (They did not seem to care if we were tired or if I was with a small child. After a long discussion between themselves they accepted us. They told us, in order to park by our camping spot we had to pay an extra nine euros or park it on the parking lot by the street. I already had paid 29 euros for the camping spot.(I was worried about somebody breaking into our car.)I had problems setting the tent, one pole was broken. No chance to go to the gorgeous pool because it was already closed. The next day we had to check out at 10 am. I could not believe why they were kicking us out so early. Oh ya, the pool was open at 10:00 basically it was impossible to go for a swim . I went to the spectacular lake for a little swim. Later on, it was pass 10:00 am, check out time, but we wanted to go in the pool. We were a bit scared to be kicked out by the rude employees. One Dutch woman was crying with frustration. She hated the place. They had given her the wrong electrical amprage, she had no electricity in her RV. She was also furious because they would not let her bring her baby's carriage in the pool area so she had to leave him with her husband. I could not wait to leave that place was the worst service I had ever seen at a campground. I do no not recommend this place to anyone.
