Mothers Quilts


She'd sit and sew for hours
On the quilts that she would make
So she could give them to her children
As very special "Keepsakes"


She stitched with love in every row
Matching patterns all around
The colors were so beautiful
Like rainbows they would astound


They keep us warm at night
When it is bitter cold
Oh what a special gift
My Mother had bestowed


We feel we're always near her
When we retire each night
With a loving hand to hold us
Until the morning light
