| Clermont, Florida is located in the southern part of Lake County in central Florida. Known for its famous bass and brim fishing, Clermont lives up to its county's name .. Lake. Clermont has the small town feel found in so many small Florida towns where neighbors know neighbors, but it also has all the amenities needed for a comfortable living. Clermont is home to a large triathlon that is held each year and has facilities for biking, golf, parks, tennis, running and golf. Clermont is well-known for its water sports. Boasting several large lakes, if you are a fisherman .. you are in heaven! For those landlubbers, many antique shops are located in the quaint downtown area. You can catch some good home cooking at the Country Skillet Restaurant or if seafood is what you want, you can find that at the local corner seafood eatery. |

| A visit to Clermont is not complete until you take a trip up the Citrus Tower. Built in 1956 the tower is more than 22 stories (226 feet) high. Built with more than 5 million pounds of concrete and almost 150,000 feet of steel, the tower is surely the gem of the town. From the tower you can catch a glimps of several surrounding counties including Sumter, Orange and Polk county. Locals say that on a clear day you can see portions of Seminole, Osceola and Hernando counties as well. |

| Next to the Citrus Tower is a unique little shop called the National President's Hall of Fame. Outside the building is this replica of the Lincoln Monument in Washington, DC. Inside is a unbelievable amount of presidential artifacts and information. |

| While citrus has always been a mainstay of life in the Clermont area, a new kind of fruit is slowly encroaching on their turf. Lakeridge Winery and Vineyard has become a nationally known vineyard that produces award winning wines. Lakeridge offers a tour of the facility and, if you are lucky, during their harvest period you can "stomp the grapes." |
