FIVE SOULS

by Hansome Alvin

God, she's gorgeous.

Kira was looking at Ezri, looking at the Trill sitting across the table from herself when this thought, unexpected, surprising, inexplicable, but undeniably true, came to her. Kira looked away from the Trill, examining her thoughts.

"Where did that come from?" she thought. Well, the answer was obvious: herself. It wasn't as if there was some mind-altering being walking around making women come on to each other. Even if there were, Kira considered herself the most strong-willed person she knew. So, no, this thought was hers and hers alone. What did it mean? She had always found Jadzia attractive, but she had never taken it seriously. But ever since Ezri had joined the staff on DS9, Kira had found herself looking at her, watching her. There was something about her.

She looked at Ezri again. The two of them had come to that point in the lunch where you've just stopped talking and are finishing your meal, your mind drifting off where it will. Ezri was sipping her drink and her eyebrows raised, face lighting up when she saw Kira looking at her. She put the drink down.

"What?" Ezri asked.

"Nothing," Kira responded, a little too quickly.

"Nerys, what?"

"It's nothing." Kira smiled warmly at Ezri.

"You had something on your mind," Ezri said, smiling back, "I can tell. Fess up."

"It just..." Kira stalled, not knowing what to say. A million thoughts ran through her head. Should she lie? Should she tell the truth? Which of those choices were worse? "You're so beautiful," she finally said.

There it was, it was out. Out in the open, it couldn't be taken back. She had said it.

Ezri smiled and looked into her drink, blushing.

"I'm not as pretty as Jadzia," she said into the glass, not looking at Kira.

"You're right," Kira said.

Ezri looked up at her.

"You're prettier," Kira completed.

Ezri's face couldn't have been more red, but her smile was nearly cleaving her face in two. There was an uncomfortable moment of silence between them and Kira thought, "Damn, I've lost her, she's freaked out, she doesn't know what to say, I gotta move on to another subject."

"How are things with you and Julian?" she asked.

Ezri stopped smiling and her face lost most of the red.

"We've stopped living together," Ezri said softly, almost a whisper.

"Oh, God," Kira said, immediately extending her hand and taking Ezri's. "I'm sorry. What happened?"

"I don't know. Where should I start? He says I'm not exiting enough. I'm not different enough. I don't get him. And he's started visiting Garak more and more lately. What do you think that means?"

"I don't know," Kira said, but she had a few ideas.

"But the truth is I was starting to get bored with him. He's not exciting me anymore, either. How can people be so in love, then be completely out of it within six months? Huh? How is that?"

"I don't know," Kira said again.

Ezri started to caress Kira's hand, gently, sensuously. Kira's breath caught in her throat. Ezri looked into her eyes and it was there. The answer to all of Kira's questions, the reason why she felt the way she did, the reason why she'd been looking at Ezri in a more-than-friends way. She loved Ezri. She loved Ezri Dax. And could it be? Could it be that Ezri loved her back?

The two women leaned over the table, ready to kiss.

"Dax?"

The two of them broke apart immediately, letting go of each other's hands.

Lenara Kahn stood not five feet from their table, smiling at Ezri.

Kira couldn't believe it. Just when she had gotten over Odo, just when she discovered something about herself that she never knew, that woman had to come along. Dax's former wife, the person she loved long ago. What was she doing here? Was she ready to continue her relationship with Dax? The last time she had come, she wasn't ready. But now, perhaps now she was.

It was hell.

Kira paced back and forth across her room, hoping that Ezri didn't feel the same way about Lenara as Jadzia did.

But it had been hours since Ezri had retired to her room with Lenara, presumably to work out old issues. Kira could easily imagine them working out their problems in a wet, sweaty way, however and it was making her crazy.

The electronic chimes of the door sounded and Kira jumped expectantly.

"Enter," she said, hoping it was Ezri.

The doors opened and Lenara Kahn came in.

"You know," Kira said, laying into the woman, "Ezri's in a delicate position right now and for you to come back now--Now!--can not be good for her. She's confused, vulnerable--"

"Kira," Lenara said. "Kira, calm down. She loves you."

Kira froze. She sat down on her bed, physically moved by the words.

"She said that?" she asked.

"Yes," Lenara said, "she did. She wants to see you."

"Now?"

"Now. She wants you to come with me."

Kira got up.

"Why you?" she asked.

Lenara shrugged, indicating that she didn't know, but there was a gleam in her eyes, a wickedness to them. Kira looked at her for a few moments, then started out the door. She loved Ezri and, frankly, would do anything she wanted.

Kira could hear the electronic chimes coming from inside Ezri's room. She and Lenara were waiting outside the door.

"Come in," Ezri's voice, sweet and inviting, from inside.

The door opened, Lenara going in first, Kira right behind her. Kira stopped breathing and froze in her place when she saw Ezri.

Ezri was lying on her stomach above the covers on her bed, completely nude. Her gorgeous body was white and smooth, with those magnificent brown spots making parallel paths down her back. She was facing away from Lenara and Kira, her feet towards the both of them. Kira blinked, trying to comprehend through the powerful gauze of lust which enfolded her.

"I could really go for a massage right now," Ezri said. She looked over her shoulder at Kira. "Would you mind, Nerys?"

Kira walked towards the alluring display on the bed, hands at her sides. She reached the bed and just stood there, not sure how to proceed.

"Don't be shy," Ezri said.

Kira got up on the bed next to Ezri, behind her. She was on her knees, bent over and reached out for the Trill. Her hands touched the back of Ezri's neck and crept their way down her body slowly, deliberately. Kira wanted to take her time.

"Mmmmmm," Ezri purred, eyes closed.

Kira worked the delicate flesh between her fingers, relishing the feel of it, the warmth of it. She had reached the Trill's hips and drew in her breath unsteadily as she began to kneed Ezri's buttocks.
This whole time, Kira wasn't even aware of Lenara standing behind them, watching.

A few moments later, Kira was finishing caressing Ezri's right foot. She moved on to the left, then back up the leg. She stopped at the top of the leg, her fingertips barely touching the small tufts of hair between Ezri's legs.

"Go on," Ezri said, voice full of love and lust, "please!"

Kira began to rub the Trill's opening, feeling how moist Ezri was. Ezri grabbed the sheets she was lying on, crumpling them. She buried her head in them, moaning and crying out.

Sweat rolled down Kira's forehead in large beads as she rubbed Ezri's pink flesh. She went a step further and entered the Trill, pushing fingers inside. Ezri's moans got louder.

Kira felt a hand cup her crotch from behind and snapped her head around. Lenara was caressing her.

"What are you doing?" Kira asked.

"Just let me be a part of this," Lenara said softly, gently. "Then I'll let you two get on with your life."

Kira looked at Ezri. Ezri nodded to her. The Bajoran thought about it for a moment, then nodded as well.

Lenara slowly pulled off Kira's form-fitting pants and underwear. She put her hand back on Kira's crotch, rubbing and penetrating.

Kira grabbed hold of Ezri, turning her over. Ezri sat up, kissing Kira, embracing her. The two of them fell back onto the bed, Kira on top of Ezri, kissing, loving her. Lenara undressed and sat between their legs, pleasuring both of them.

There was so much history on that bed. Ezri and Lenara had been married in previous incarnations. Kira had been good friends with Jadzia and was the same for Ezri, but now she was something else, something more important. Although none of them realized it at the time, they were engaged in something special. Something that was different.

Three Bodies.

Five Souls.

"I'm sorry Ezri, but I just came to pick up my--" Julian broke off when he saw the three of them. His mouth dropped open and he was frozen in place.

The three women, just holding and comforting each other now, looked at him. Their nude bodies were a vision, but the expressions on their faces were even better. Pleasure, exhaustion, lust, love and pure contentment.

"Different enough for you, Julian?" Ezri asked, eyebrows raised.

The three women began laughing as Julian exited, the door closing discreetly behind him.

The End.
