RELATIVITY: BEFORE

by R. Schultz

I am no longer a drone. I am human. The EMH insists I must socialize more, perhaps even become romantically involved with someone. He is logical. I shall determine which other human on this ship I will fall in love with.

As I backed into my regeneration alcove, a feeling of dizziness overcame me. I was being transported.

A man in Starfleet blue faced me across this transport station.

"Greetings, Seven of Nine. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Braxton, and I wish to recruit you for a very dangerous mission in your past. For the second time."

RELATIVITY: AFTER

by R. Schultz

I was transported back to my regeneration alcove when Captain Janeway and I were returned both to VOYAGER and our present.

My regeneration cycle would be complete in three hours.

When I awoke, I immediately left Cargo Bay Two for the Captain's Cabin. We must talk.

As I strode inside, she rushed to hold and comfort me, letting me know she was here for me.

"I am still very disoriented," I told her.

"Hush, hush," she soothed, rubbing my back. "Come to bed, my darling wife. We'll hold each other and be glad all is now as it was before."
