THE EXPLANATION

by Neryce

It was 5:58 P.M., Nurse Chapel stood alongside Dr. McCoy and Captain Kirk in transporter room two as they waited for their special guest to arrive. Mr. Scott manned the controls. At 6:oo P.M. on the dot the transporter shimmered and a tall, curvaceous woman appeared.

She was beautiful with her soft-featured face and pointed ears. She wore a thin silver dress with a triangular slit that revealed the barest hint of cleavage. "Greetings Captain Kirk" T'pring said as she stepped off of the transporter and headed towards the trio. "Greetings" Captain Kirk replied and made the Vulcan sign of welcome. "We are very happy to receive you and are eagerly waiting for your explanation but I am afraid Mr. Spock is unavailable as he is with the landing party on Kreyla. Here is Dr. McCoy and his valued assistant Nurse Chapel for whom you have asked. In case you wanted to talk with us individually at first. T'pring nodded at them each in turn. "Yes, that was very wise of you. That was a clever trick you pulled down on Vulcan Dr. McCoy; I expected no less from the prized Enterprise physician.

The female Vulcan turned towards Christine as if she were in a dessert and Nurse Chapel was a cool sip of water. "At last we meet" came the seductive purr. I have felt much of your mind though my link with Spock and I have been very passionate about meeting you. "Well" Christine said raking her eyes over the Vulcan "we have a few days to get to know each other better" she said slyly. That was all that the Vulcan needed to hear and with a few parting words to the respective company she left with Christine beside her promising a tour of the ship.

Dr. McCoy looked at the door in amazement. "Well I never thought I'd see the day" came his musky southern drawl. Those two were flirting like a couple of teenagers in heat" Jim Kirk just shrugged his shoulders and with a laugh he left the transporter room.

She's so beautiful (T'pring thought) standing there using her long elegant hands to pour a little of this and that into various bottles of all shapes and sizes. T'pring stood, eagerly watching as her new lover tended to the vials, stopping at each one to explain what it did and what it was used for in that flirtatious, throaty voice of hers. The Vulcan swore that she could be brought to pure ecstasy from that voice alone, every rich velvety laugh sending shivers down her spine. And it wasn't all just physical either. While Christine had plenty of beauty in that department her brain could match that of any Vulcan and had proved it in their long debates,
which they had while playing chess. The human had a predatory and creative mind and they had used it to do many things over the past few days from making deep, passionate love to merely cuddling as they talked about their day, Christine was always coming up with things that were new and exiting. She had made it quite clear that she was the dominant one in the relationship and T'pring was fine with it.

At last the day came for Spock to return to the ship and so when everyone was situated with T'pring at the front of the table she began her explanation. "You are all probably wondering why you are here with the exception of Spock. The reason is that you three each have a connection to Spock, all of which influenced my decision on Vulcan. Before I go into detail about these connections know that I had no intention of letting anybody die down there". She turned towards Spock "Stonn is my brother" A collective gasp came from the
recipients and they looked to T'pring to continue.

"Stonn has studied many alien techniques for battling peacefully. My original plan was to have him knock you out so it looked as if you were dead then when beamed aboard enterprise they would realize that this was not so and I would be free and Connection one would be made. When you came down with Captain Kirk and Dr. McCoy I saw an opportunity arise. At their puzzled looks and a raised eyebrow she said "Captain Kirk it may surprise you to know that you are connection one. James Kirk smiled up at her "No, I'm not surprised. It must have happened through all of the mind melds". Then I assume it also does not surprise you to realize that you are bonded.

"Now wait just a confounded minute here (this was Dr. McCoy) are you saying they got married?! Kirk lifted a curious eyebrow and Spock looked as if he too would like to protest but T'pring continued before he could voice his opinion. "I felt your feelings for one another from almost the second you met and I watched you go from officers, to friends, and finally to lovers although neither of you seemed to realize it. I noticed that the deeper this love grew the more miserable you both became so when I saw a chance to throw you together I took it. "You mean by almost killing him" McCoy again. That man sure had a temper. The female Vulcan looked at him squarely in the eyes and said no, because I knew that you would never let that happen. At his shocked expression she continued. "You doctor are the second connection; your love for each of your friends is never-ending. I knew from the second I saw you down on the planet I knew you wouldn't let either of them hurt. McCoy snorted, "Do you believe this Jim! Jim?"  But Kirk was already wrapped up in Spock as they
confronted their feelings for one another. "Spock is this true" Kirk had been saying to which Spock replied "Yes Jim, I have felt this way about you for some time" his eyes were adverted and he was almost blushing. "Oh Spock I love you too" and with that they were in each other's arms kissing and sucking like there was no tomorrow. T'pring ignored them however and instead focused her gaze on Christine "You were the third connection. I knew from the moment I felt your thoughts that I was in love with you and now I know that I couldn't bear to live without you by my side. Will you marry me?" "Of course" came the joyous reply and the two embraced. McCoy feeling that he was no longer needed decided it would be best if he just left and hey
maybe lt. Uhura and Rand would let him watch them make out again.
