Fanatic Heart A Life of John Boyle O'Reilly 1844-1890 By A. G. Evans Northeastern University Press, 1997 Moondyne [also published as Moondyne Joe] By John Boyle O'Reilly This is a wonderful romantic work of fiction. Some scholars suggest that it is autobiographical, but O'Reilly never described it as such. It obviously draws on some of his experience aboard the Hougoumont, but only in a distant fashion. |
