TASK ONE: "I feel infinite."

Charlie is often moved by music.  He claims that the right song being played at the right time with the right people can make him feel "infinite."  He writes:
"There is this feeling that I had Friday night after the homecoming game that I don't know if I will ever be able to describe except to say that it is warm....Sam told Patrick to find a station on the radio....And finally he found this really amazing song about this boy, and we all got quiet.

Sam tapped her hand on the steering wheel.  Patrick held his hand outside the car and made air waves.  And I just sat between them.  After the song was finished, I said something.

'I feel infinite.'

And Sam and Patrick looked at me like I said the greatest thing they ever heard.  Because the song was that great and because we all really paid attention to it.  Five minutes of a lifetime were truly spent, and we felt young in a good way.  I have since bought the record, and I would tell you what is was, but truthfully, it's not the same unless you're driving to your first real party, and you're sitting in the middle seat of a pickup with two nice people and it starts to rain."
What is Charlies trying to convey when he says he feels infinite?  Have you ever felt similarly?  Have you ever heard a song that helped shape a moment like Charlie describes?

Meet with your classmates in our on-line discussion forum and share experiences.  Be honest about how you felt.  No song can be too cheesy, no moment too trivial.  As long as it made you feel something, then tell us about it.  You might want to include some of the lyrics, or you might want to describe the music itself.  Where were you when you heard this song?  What were you doing?

If you cannot think of a song that has helped shape a personal moment, then think of a song that you feel best represents an important part of your life.  We will take all of the songs submitted and compile a class mix-tape.  We'll submit the final track listing to
Art of the Mix and see what others think about our compilation!
