"Those" Potatoes

My friend Dottie, is a wonderful cook and I'm so glad she's willing to share her favorite recipes with me. This one is especially good served with ham.

6 boiled potatoes, skinned and grated

2 cups grated cheddar cheese

1/4 cup butter or margarine

1 bunch green onions, chopped (tops incl)

2 cups sour cream

Salt and pepper to taste

Boil potatoes until tender. Cool, peel and grate. In large bowl mix potatoes, cheese, onions, butter, sour cream and salt and pepper to taste. Place in greased casserole dish, dot with an additional 2 tablespoons of butter and bake in a 350-degree oven for 40 minutes or until top is golden brown.
