Fresh Apple Cake

4 cups apples peeled and diced

2 cups sugar

3 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. soda

1 cup oil

1 tsp. vanilla

2 eggs

1 cup walnuts or pecans

Mix apples and sugar and let stand one hour. In separate bowl mix dry ingredients together. In another bowl mix wet ingredients together. Mix wet ingredients into dry, then stir into apples and add 1 cup nuts. Bake in greased and floured bundt pan in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until done.

Glaze with:

1/4 cup butter or margarine

2 tsp. milk

1 cup light brown sugar

Mix all ingredients together in saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook for 2 minutes. Spread on warm cake.
