Awards & Accomplishments | Season Opener Feature win (2001), Interstate Speedway. 2 feature wins in just 1st full season of racing, 8th in season points in 2001 at interstate speedway, 3 Feature wins into 2002 | Career Summary | I got started in racing back in high school. Our first car was the old city police car, which we raced in about 4 enduros before retiring our first ride. Since then, I have participated in several enduros and in 2000 I decided to get into it a little more. Toward the end of the season I built a Monte Carlo to run in the Roadrunner division at Interstate Speedway, in just a couple of races I picked up my first win. That was it; from that point on I was hooked. Next season (2001) started off good with a feature win the first night out. I really thought that we would be in competition for the championship, but some unfortunate events took place in 2001. Mid season we had our car get damaged beyond repair and was forced to build a new one. The crew and I worked hard as we prepared the car in under a week. It took us a while to get the setup down on the new one, so that hurts us in points. Not too long after our primary motor went sour, forcing us to run the backup until the new one was fixed. After 7 or so straight weeks of motor problems everything started falling in place, we had some strong finishes in the late going and maintained a top ten position in points. A post-season endurance race broke a few of my bones in my arm I had to have surgery and I am still recovering. 2001 is a season that I learned from and I want to say to watch for #3 next season!!!
