This is Booster truck 2, a 1989 Dodge 1 ton 4x4 truck with a western hauler style bed. Put into service in 1994, it has a brand new A. G. Meier slide in unit, purchased in May , 2002, with a 300 gallon water tank with a 300 GPM Hale pump and a Robwen foam injector unit built as a slide in unit. Has 150' of 1 1/2" hose, 200' of 1" booster hose, with the foam unit piped inline to all dischanges for wildland, brush, and grass fires for pump and roll operations. It also carries rakes and shovels for wildland firefighting. Is the first booster truck out on all wildfires, second out on most rescues and the forth out on structure fires. Has a 9,000 lbs Ramsey wrench mounted in the front receiver hitch and can be moved to the back receiver hitch if needed. Also used for exposer protection on structure fires and for mop up operations.. |
