This is Booster Truck 3, a 1980 Dodge 3/4 ton power wagon 4x4. It has a 220 gallon water tank with a 300 GPM Hale portable pump. It carries 200' of 1" booster line and rakes and shovels for wildland firefighting. Was bought new in 1980 from the Texas Forestry Service to be used on all fires. In its first 2 years of service was the first truck out on all calls, became the second truck out on wildfires as the department grew to include other brush trucks, pumpers, and other firefighting trucks. Until 1988, was the third truck out on structure fires. Used today as the second truck out on wildfires, a back up for all structure fires and on most rescues. Has been a little workhorse for the Harmony VFD for 20 years now. |
