Love Sweet Love Part 4 (rated pg-13) "Peter when will you tell Joe?" "As soon as I get back." "He is with her now." "I'll go see Vincent than head back to the hospital.." With their secret between them , the long time friends went to see Vincent. When they got to his chamber he was still asleep, Diana was sitting by his bed. In the private room at the hospital, Joe was sitting by hers. They stirred at the same time. She softly called his name "Vincent." His soft reply, "I am here." As Peter, Diana and father looked at Vincent hoping he would wake up, Joe was looking at her." They didn't. "Peter you remember private investigator Diana Bennett don't you asked father?" "Yes I do." "How are you Diana?"" " I am fine." "How are you?" "Just fine was his reply." Peter checked out Vincent than headed back to the hospital. "Peter you have returned." "Did you take care of what you had to do?" "Yes Joe I did." "Any change?" "Not really." "She stirred a little while ago." "That was all." "Peter who is Vincent?" "She whispered his name." "I remember Diana mentioning a "Vincent" when she was first investigating her disappearance a few months ago." "Than she let the lead go." "Peter do you think he is the one responsible for this?" "Absolutely not." "They love each other." "They were going to get married before she disappeared." "Vincent is the father of her child." "That is why I believe this happened." "What does Vincent being her baby's father have to do with this Peter?" "Joe take a seat." "Let me tell you about Vincent." By the time Peter finished explaining, Joe was amazed to say the least and he agreed with him. Her captors wanted Vincent's child." But how did they know about him Joe started thinking, he remembered an incident a few months ago, she was almost mugged in the park. Somehow she escaped without a scratch. He questioned her than. He said she was lucky. Joe knew what her luck had been now, Vincent, just as it was on other occasions. It was the unique Bond between them. May be someone saw him during those times and saw what he was capable of. One day he would like to meet him. "Peter whoever did this to her, must have power and money. " "I will get one of New York's finest investigators to help me a soon as I find her. "Joe would it happen to be Diana Bennett? "Yes Peter it is." "Joe I know where she is." "During the past few months, she has been a guest in Vincent's home." "Peter since you cannot tell me where his home is, can you get a message to Diana?" "If it will help her and find her baby, I'll be happy too." "When you come back tomorrow, I will tell you where to meet her." "All right." "I will see you in the morning." "Take care of her Peter she's one special lady and he left." Diana was with Vincent when father gave her the message. She hated to leave him but Joe said it was urgent. "Father I must go above Joe needs me." "I will be back as soon as I can." Take care of him, he's one special guy and she left." They met at the park as noon. "It's been a while Joe." "Yes Diana it has." "Thanks for coming." "Your message piqued my curiosity." "What is so urgent that you sent for me?" "Diana after all these months we found her." "You did how?" Joe explained, she made a 911 call from an estate just outside the city." "She is in the hospital unconscious for a near fatal injection of morphine." "She managed to call before she blacked out." " Diana never knew she was pregnant when she disappeared and Joe decided not to tell her now." "Diana I need your help." "This is a tough case no leads." "Help me find her captors?" As always Diana put her job before anything else even her love for Vincent." "Of course, I'll help you Joe." "Thanks Diana." "Will you be visiting Vincent soon?" "I take it Peter told your him?" "Yes he did." "Diana eventhough he is sleeping, tell him we found her." "I'll let Peter know you will tell him." "All right Joe." "Tell Peter not to worry and hec an stay at the hospital to look after her." "I will take care of everything." "Thanks again." "I owe you one and he left." "I'll remember you said that Joe." "Good-bye." Diana stayed on the park bench a little longer thinking. "I am sorry Joe." "I cannot lose him yet." The next time she saw Vincent he was still sleeping. She never told him. Within two weeks Diana had a lead. It took them two months to locate her captor. Joe and the FBI tracked him down thanks to Diana's expertise. During that time she and Vincent woke up. Joe had been talking to her on one of his visits. He told her they were close to finding her baby. Knowing her baby was out there somewhere and not lost to her, gave her hope. She began to wake up. So did Vincent. The day Vincent woke up Diana was the only one with him. He was glad to see her but there was a sadness in his eyes. He seemed distant. She told him she would go get father and let him know he was awake. She would be right back. When she arrived at father' chamber, she told him the good news. She also told him that Peter had told her if and when Vincent wakes up, not to tell him about her just yet. He knew Vincent would be worried and determined to see her. He could get careless. It was best to let him know after he has had time to recover. Father trusted Diana and Peter's judgment so he never questioned her. Since he would not be seeing Peter for a while with his work schedule he could not discuss it with him. When he went to see Vincent, it was hard to keep it from him.
