Who Do You Say That I Am?

In Ephesians 1: 18 - 22, Paul writes that Jesus is now seated at the right hand of God and that everything is now placed in subjection under Jesus' feet. Again we read in the book of Revelations that all will bow at the feet of Jesus (including the devil and his hosts).

Let us not just stop there. It is also interesting to note that there is a term, which Jesus came to introduce to this fallen world.

§ In John 1: 12, we read that those who believe in Jesus, who receive Him into their hearts, are called children of God. Where there are children, there will be a father and for those of us, who believe in Jesus, God is our Father. In fact Jesus taught His disciples (and us) to address God as Father when we pray.

§ In all the gospel accounts, whenever Jesus talked to God, He addressed God as Father; only once did Jesus called God, "God" and that was when He hung there for us on the cross and this is so that we can enjoy the position of Father-son which Jesus had. What Jesus lost on the cross on our account is our gain.

Obedience

22 "Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
As in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams."
1 Sam 15 : 22 NKJV

18 "Oh, that you had heeded My commandments!
Then your peace would have been like a river,
And your righteousness like the waves of the sea."
Isa 48 : 18 NKJV

Whereas most people have heard of the Ten Commandments, you might not be aware that Jewish tradition counts a total of 613 commandments, all found in the first five books of the bible, a.k.a. the Torah. 365 are considered negative commandments - "Don't do this" - while the rest are considered positive.
Many of these laws have shaped the attitudes prevalent in Western civilization, and some have formed the basis of legal statutes.
Jewish people believe that along with the laws found in the bible, Moses also received an "Oral Torah" that contains more rules, some that offer specific instructions as to how to properly pray, observe the Sabbath and so on.
