Stories from the Sunday Territorian
'Nude sailor in hot water'

The half time entertainment at Friday night's game between Essendon and the West Coast Eagles comprised of a junior football game (zzzzz) and a streaker (yay).  Now it has turned into a battle between the might of the Department of Defence and the streaker who just happened to be a sailor.  His ship has sailed and he wasn't on it.  Even a court martial has been suggested.  Shades of Arlo Guthrie and Alice's Restaurant - this misdemeanour must mean that this man is totally unfit to burn women, villages and children.

'Ross River virus risk high: expert'

Is mozzie expert Peter Whelan trying to break the world record for press releases? Have there been any cases in Darwin this year?  Are you more likely to get the virus in country Victoria or New South Wales?  Will tomorrows paper feature mozzies again.

'Monsoon set for major surge'

We wish. Hot again today as another potential cyclone disappears to the north west.  A quote from the paper however brightens up the day 'Senior forecaster Andrew Tupper said yesterday that winds blowing across the equator from the northern hempisphere (sic) were likely to cause a 'surge' in the system.  But it would be rather weak' .  I just have some difficulty contemplating a week surge.

'Stingers cannot be ignored'

Yet another warning to the dummies not to swim in summer months when the stingers are abundant.

Sunday is get rich quick day again.  Your choice of
