This website will chronicle my experience as a Canadian intending to become a teacher in Canada but choosing to undergo the teacher training abroad. I chose to get my credentials overseas because the January start date appealed to me by finishing sooner than had I stayed in Canada, and as an international student there would be less competition for spots. I did not have an opportunity to travel during my undergraduate degree, so I figured this would be my opportunity. I also plan to settle back here in Ontario where 60% of the public school kids are not from Canada, so international experience will definitely be an asset.
