Setup instructions for the World of Haven

	Instructions for setting up the World of Haven
1.	Find a copy of graal141.zip and unzip it into a new directory on your hard drive.

2.	In the "\levels" directory of the new Graal141, delete "start1.graal" and "house1.graal".

3.	Do you have a "midi" folder in your "\levels" directory? If not, then you won't hear any of the music in my levels until you copy the midis from a newer version of Graal into this folder.

4.	Open the "\sounds" folder in the Graal directory. You need to copy the ".wav" files from a new version of Graal into this folder, and make sure to overwrite ALL sound files which already exist. This will make sure you hear all the sounds, and that you hear them correctly.

5.	Create a new folder named "aylad" in your "\levels" directory. This is the folder where you will put ALL the files you download for the World of Haven.

6.	Go to the World of Haven downloads page and download the level packs. You don't have to download them all (after I get more than one) but you should begin with the downloads which are numbered (ex. "1. Intro", where "1." is the number I'm talking about) and you should download them in order. This will make sure you'll get the most up-to-date files possible.

7.	Unzip the downloaded level packs into "\levels\aylad". EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Do not create subdirectories (subfolders) in this folder. ALL the downloaded files should be in the same folder. Unzip the files in order. If you are asked to overwrite some files, click "Yes." This will make sure the files are updated properly; if you do this wrong, the levels might not work correctly.

8.	Make sure you've downloaded and unzipped the Intro levels pack, then start Graal. You should be ready to go!

1. Intro Levels (Click to Download)
This first part of my project includes a few levels of the old Graal Classic world, which is where you start. After finishing a simple mini-quest you're taken to the Mystic Isle, a beautiful, magical island in the World of Haven. The wizards there banish you, but hint that you might be able to return someday. Then they send you to Teras Town, which in this download will only have one level completed. Not much, but maybe it will give you some idea of what to expect in the next download.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Copy this version of pics1.png into your main Graal folder, clicking YES when prompted to overwrite the existing pics1.png. If you don't do this, you will see lots of ugly white blocks all through the Teras Town levels! Click here to see the image, then right-click on it and select "Save Picture As..." and save it as pics1.png.

2. Teras Town (Click to Download)
You arrive in Teras Town to begin your journeys. Begin to study magic with an exiled wizard, then defeat an evil sorceror to open up the town's gates.
Fixes:
Changes the sign letters for the Intro Levels, adds "Pray" function to Mystic Isle Temple.
Adds:
Beginning of magical studies, earn a sword and possibly a shield as a quest item, expands tileset, day/night effects, hunger, 6-sided Dice, new stats display (optional), and more. See World of Haven Resource Page for more details.
