Tribute to the REAL >Americans.
My "love affair" with the Native Americans started in High School when we read and then memorized "Hiawatha." It was further enhanced years later when I read James Michener's book, "Centennial." When they made a TV series of the book, I was enthralled and also felt for the first time what the Indians endured from the white man. Next, my sister sent me a postcard from Oklahoma with a picture of a handsome Indian chief on it. I showed it to a son-in-law with talent and he made a chalk drawing of the chief on a 19x24" background. Later he painted a beautiful native woman on the same size background. I had them both framed and hung them proudly in my living room.
