The Crumpley East Coast Update

updated 10/18/03
Our little house, here by Wyoming Mill Pond in Delaware, is filled with music everyday. Kelly on his mandolin, banjo, fiddle, Irish flute and/or Jan on her Suttner concertina, Copeland whistle, silver flutes and, now, ukeleles. We are happy Irish musicians with day jobs. As Bill Black (Zouki) said to us (reprinted with permission),

"Sometimes one hears of places
Beset with such overwhelming innocence
That sandcastles or fleas or carrots
Or porcupines
Are news

Perhaps

You dwellers in such places
Should consider yourselves lucky"

So true, so here, so us.  Thanks, Zouki!

You may have noticed that we have a domain name of our own now.  FluteCake.com, kinda crazy sounding, huh?  Well, do you know how fun it is to write out the web address for people over and over?  Now I can just say, "Sure, just go to FluteCake.com"- why, you might not even need a pen!  No more ~, dots and //.  I did not squander a lot of money on this.  All thanks to Yahoo!  Wicked clever.

Gephyrophobia, Gephydrophobia, or Gephysrophobia- Fear of crossing bridges.  More about your phobias here...http://phobialist.com/

Folks that are native to the Delmarva peninsula seem to suffer from this quite often, they really don't get over those bridges very often.  Delmarva is only connected to the mainland by bridges, we have the lovely C & D canal cutting us off.

The little town of Wyoming is just south of Dover. Yes, I did hand draw this map- for DelFolk.org, directions for Dover, DE from any point in world.
