My more current friends...

What type of people do I hang out with... most of us don't do drugs or even smoke. There are 7 former boyscouts amoung us 5 made Eagle and Jean earned the Gold Award, Girlscouting's Highest honor. There are at least 2 blackbelts between us and no fewer than 13 of us have had some formal martial arts training. We have had our own Dark Age charactors, most of us have played some RPG or another at some point. We started a bowling leauge so that we could be sure we all see eachother at least once a week. We build computers, shop on E-bay read Keepers of Lists, check out Toms Hardware, and keep LiveJournals. We know what's funny about the air-speed velocity of unlaiden swallows and the signifigance of then number 42. We are close enough that we hug eachother before we leave and we have eachothers cellphones on speeddial. Here are my friends.

JeanJean "Heanie, blondie, sis": My dear sweet sister is one of my closest friends and is as close to the rest of my friends as I am in many cases. My baby sister is one year, six months and seven days younger than I am and unlike many sibling relationships we never faught eachother much.

Matt KelleyMatt Kelley: Soon to be my Brother-in-law. Jean's been dating him for around 5 years now. Matt is the glue that holds our bowling leauge together, drawing in people from his place of employ, his cirlce of friends, and peole he meets on the street to start teams. Matt gets along well with my super-hyper-active cousin Mitch, and Jean thinks that Matt sees a lot of himself in young Mitchell.

Jake&AmyJake Knapitsch: I met Jake in 5th grade at a "lets all go visit the middle school" day and we became friends early in the 6th grade. He loves to tinker and is a real gadgeteer. He's the kind of guy who dreamed of building battle bots years before television made them popular. Several months back he asked me to be the best man in his wedding to Amy.

Amy Klienschmidt: Well, now she's Mrs. Jake Knapitsch, Amy has nearly become a Medical Doctor and plans on focusing her talents on premature children.

Jake SmithJake Smith: A friend of mine since 6th grade, Jake recently graduated from a prestegious business school. He spent the last 3 1/2 years as an active member of the Zeat Chi fraternity, and still parties with them often. Jake collects comics and can brief you on the history of any DC charactor and most the Marvel ones as well. He's also a videogame addict and has been a strengent supporter of Nintendo since it's 1985 release.

Steve DekatSteve Dekat "Mandinga": Probably my most eccentric friend. There is so much to say about Steve and so little is adaquate. I guess you just have to meet him at his website. I have known him since he was a boy scout in middle school, but it was my sophmore year in highschool that we really started spending time together.

Mary MillerMary Miller "Marza, Red": She's almost a sterotypical blond, It's a shame she has that pretty red hair to ruin the image. Mary was my first girlfriend, I met her in Latin class, and danced the maccarana with her at a JCL Latin Club party in a greek restarunt just to get closer to her. We began dating that October, but didn't call it dating until November. A year later she broke up with me. After a few heartborken months, I got over it (sorta) and we have been good friends ever since. Later she dated Nick Joy, then Jake Smith for a while. She moved to Florida to study 3D-animation at the same college her current boyfriend attended to learn how to be a director. This image of her was taken seconds before we went under a waterfall on a ride at a local amusement park.

Kim BurtonKim Burton: Likes her privacy, so I can't tell you a lot about who she is now, so I will focus on who she was :^) - She was the accomplice to Jake Knapitch's arch enemy in middle school. Kristy and Kim used to go and "steal" Jake's bike and twirl bottons in his back yard and such just to irk him... Not that Jake never earned it. I intoduced myself to Kim in the 6th grade by throwing kitchen knives at her and Kristy to chase them out of Jake's yard. Behold, the power of Ginsu. High school came around, and we both got into computer programming classes and were both on the track and field team, and we eventually became close friends. She moved away recently, but we still (sorta, sometimes) keep in touch. She thinks of me as a Jewish mother, because I'm always, always making her feel guilty so I can get her to do this or that... like write me a feaking E-Mail or something.

Nick Joy: Computer programmer and photo finisher. Nick is currently playing Vampire the Masqurade and involved in a host of computer games. I turn to Nick for information on the cameras and film processors when my own knowledege falls short. We are currently collaberating on a web comic about life in a 1 HR photo lab, the release date is TBA.

Natalie MarkNatalie Mark: Nick's former girlfriend. She really used to like getting back rubs and massages from me. But it seems she dosen't like having her photo taken, Oh well.

Mark SmithMark Smith: Well, Mark has a nickname, but it pisses him off so royally that I guess I won't bring it up ;) Mark is a unique individual who loves to argue on lofty subjects. Mark is a serious night owl who adhors his morning classes, where he studdies high science in hopes of a degree and a career in a university.

Holly BarbareHolly Barbare: Mark's girlfriend. I have spent several late nights talking with and listening to Holly. She's a real animal lover, working summers in a petting zoo. Holly is the second one of my friends who has seriously considered kissing an elephant. The other was Jake Knapitsch.

Lindsey StansburyLindsey Stansbury "Lin, Dene": My most recent ex-girlfriend and possibly the only person I have ever completly opened up to. We still keep in touch online and see eachother on rare occasions. unfortunately she moved to Georgia with her new boyfriend, that will put a severe damper on the our chances to visit eachother, but at least she will finally be out of this Kansas weather she hates so much. Lindsey is a gifted photographer and writer; She loves kitties and birdies.

Jen McKinney "Jenn, Nifer, but never Jenny": Our little group's Beatle fanatic, She recently graduated and got herself a "big-girl job," Yea Jen! I've known her since Highschool, back when her last name was Perkins, and when Jean went off to college Jen and Sarah McDevit were her roomates.

Kevin McKinney "Kev, Old Man": Jen's husband. He's fun to be around once he loosens up. He is a Dark Age of Camelot player, and plays Magic the Gathering. He graduated with an Engineering degree, and is studying IT now. At 28 he is nearly the oldest in our clique.

Kevin Saugier: A bit of a Jester, and always young at heart. A couple of years back Kevin lost a fight with a buick. He and Sarah McDevitt are engaged to be Married.

John "JL" Heather: Programmer and TKD freak. Dated Jen in Highschool, then again in college, is currentlly an athletic bachlor with a bright future in the programming field and a good sense of humor.

Kelli Dickerson: The other half of Jen's brain, and just maybe as big of a Beatles fan, Kelli hung out with us in HS - but went away to Alabama for college on a Sync Swimming Scholarship. She's graduated and back now, finishing up another round of classes that should make her a nurse once she's all said and done.

Lauren BaizeLauren Baize: Met this red-haired beauty at a gas station where she worked the overnight shift. I tried to court the lady but she would have none of that, so we're just friends. she recently moved here from Detroit and is alergic to Kansas. Someday she hopes to move to Egypt. She is a memeber of my Sunday night bowling team.

Chris Baize: Lauren's Brother, a college debater, and a Dark Age of Camelot fanatic. And currently one of the Amarican Army's newest recruits! Cudos to him for surviving Basic and good luck on his attempt to join the Special Forces Elite.
