AFV Drawings: The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts
and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and
related topics. To this end, our AFV NEWS magazine came to be in
1965, and has been published regularly for over 40 years. The emphasis has
always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of
similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever. As a
bonus AFV NEWS has always offered FREE space in its pages to any
AFVA member wishing to advertise.
Typical ad requests read: WANTED, FOR SALE,
INFO NEEDED, PENPAL WANTED, BOOKS FOR SALE, ARMOR KITS FOR SALE,
BOOKS WANTED, PHOTOS WANTED, etc.
AFV NEWS has always featured high quality photo halftones
throughout the years, the majority of which have never been published
elsewhere. Submissions by the membership of both armor photos and
articles have been steady over the years, and many of our authors are
revered armor researchers. e.g. Steven Zaloga, Richard Harley, Peter Brown,
Paul Handel, Peter Cooke, Robert J. Icks, William Auerbach, Barry Beldam,
