Anti-Aircraft Tank

Utilizing stolen technology from the US Navy's CIWS (Sea-Whiz) cannon, Destro develops the ultimate anti-aircraft tank, the Rapier. Capable of firing 4500 rounds per minute, the top mounted anti-aircraft gun will make a tossed salad out of G.I. Joe's Skystrikers and Conquests. The Rapier uses one or more methods of tracking it's target including radar, infrared or laser. All controlled by Cobra's newest trooper/driver, the Brotha-Viper. Whassup?! But this tank isn't just for taking down aircraft. It can also hold it's own in a straight ground fight thanks to the side-mounted, forward-firing cannons.

Inside information: So you got yourself a new Rockslide and immediately, ripped off that goofy cannon on top. What to do with it? Make use of it on a larger vehicle. My Rapier starts with a badly beat up HISS 1 that my fiancé got me from eBay for $2.00. After removing the removing the nasty stickers and cleaning the filth from it, I was ready to start. I painted the 2 top halves with regular red Krylon spray paint. I then took the entire assembly of the Rockslide's cannon and jammed it into the turret whole on the HISS. It was a tight fit and needed some coaxing in there, but once it's in, it fits great! I then took the 2 side guns from the Brawler and painted them black. I had to buzz the bars sticking from the side of the cannon base a bit with my Dremmel tool to get the guns to slide on, but they did get on there. Now that the guns are on, I needed a canopy... or not. After I starting working with this particular HISS, I noticed that it had been exposed to a lot of heat and resulted in the melting and re-hardening of the cockpit area. End result is that a good canopy won't fit on this thing anymore. Bah! Doesn't matter, looks good without.

Brotha-Viper is a "No-Skillz Custom" that consists of a entire 86 Viper body with 94 Stalker arms. This came about when I traded for a Viper with no arms (Thanks Steffen!) and needed some. Not only do the black arms look good on him, Cobra now finally has a black man fighting on their side too. --FireFox
