Last Alarm |
Dear Lord, we call upon you for strength and guidance. Give us courage that we may impart courage to others. When the gong sounds, calling us to our duty, give us speed and efficiency. As our sirens wail, ride with us through the city streets shielding us from danger. On the fireground may our officers and firefighters always work as a cautious, courageous and victorious team. Walk with us through the terror of flames and explosions. May our hearts be always ready if we are summoned before out Eternal Chief in the midst of our labors. We ask only that you may be pleased with our service. That when the Last Alarm shall have sounded for us, we may receive our eternal assignment with you. Amen |

Words can not even begin to describe the loss of Sept 11th, 2001. For those of us in the Fire, Rescue, and Law Enforcement, we lost many brothers and sisters at arms that day. The loss was felt around the world by all of us in these fields of profession. Many of us would gladly trade places with those who gave their lives on that fateful day, so that those with a family, could still be here today yet. They gave their lives doing what we are trained to do, and that is to help those who are in need of help. We never know if its our time to join our Eternal Chief when we are called out. God Bless all our fallen brothers and sisters, and may you rest in peace. |
