Our Children Need Our Help
In the beginning of 2001, I was backed to a dock, when I recieved a phone call. That phone call was from my mother to let me know that my 11 month old boy had died. The reason was my boy's mother decided to go party over new years and didn't want to get a baby sitter, so she left him home alone. He'd been dead 24 to 36 hours before she returned home. Then she took him to the hospital claimed, i think my baby is dead. She was charged and sentenced to 9 yrs in prison. It was supposed to be 10, but seeing how she saved the court time by pleading guilty, she had a year knocked off.It really ticks me off to think a drug dealer or somebody who's already had a chance to live there life,is worth more than a child who never even had a chance.I'm trying to figure out ways to make the justice system realize this and enforce harsher sentences. The punishments for the crimes should be more than just a slap on the wrist. If you have any idea on how a concerned parent can make this happen, please let me know. No the pic is not mine, but for the non believers out there who thinks i made this story up, then  find a times recorder newspaper in Zanesville Ohio and read the stories in there through the month of  Jan. 2001
