Donor Scar...What Donor Scar?

One Month Post-op: | ||||||||||||||||||||||
As you can see here, the train tracks of my donor scar quickly faded into oblivion. These pictures were taken about 1-week after my sutures were taken out ... and a total of about 1-month post-op.

Six Months Post-op ... | ||||||||||||||||||||||

I can't say that there is a lot of news here ... its just a matter of sitting back and watching the results start to sprout. These pictures, and the pictures on page five, were taken about six months after my procedure with Bradley R. Wolf, MD in Cincinnati. The opinions I have given over the past few pages and the past several months hold true still. He is an excellent HT surgeon ... and those facts are becoming more evident to me daily as my results further show. On the back of my head, I have a hard time even feeling my donor scar anymore. My barber still can find a trace of it ... but even he has to look pretty hard to find it. I remain impressed with the natural hairline and gradual improvements I have been seeing. A friend of mine, who began noticing his hair thinning at about the same time I did (7-8 years ago) recently told me he was pissed off because I stopped losing my hair and his is almost gone. We joked back-and-forth about it, and he then grabbed my head and pretended to try and take off my toupee! Of course, I've never worn one, but the point is, even joking around, he never suspected that I have had an HT done! Of course, much more important to me than having a buddy of mine grab my head ... is when my girlfriend does. Since I began dating her a few months ago, she has had plenty of opportunity to have her hands in my hair and on my head - and not once has she even paused for concern. You could say that she might be too embarrassed to call me on it if she suspected anything ... but I can guarantee you she has no clue. Neither does anybody else ... and that's the point! I remain pleased with Dr. Wolf's work, and plan to see him again in a year or so when it becomes time for HT#2. The nice part of it, as you can see by these pictures, is that there will be no rush for HT#2 ... because even if I lose some more hair behind what he transplanted back in March ... it will look completely natural! Of course, now that I'm starting to see the results of a mere 1060 FU grafts from HT#1 - I want to be greedy and get much more next time! |
