1st generation:

William McGowin (also spelled McGowan or McGowen), born abt. 1784 in South Carolina and died after 1853 in Wilkinson County, Georgia, married Sarah, born abt. 1790 in Georgia.

Children of William and Sarah:
1.  Jacob McGowan, born 1812. 
2.  Jimpsey McGowan, born 1818.  Married Jane Mae Dancy, b. around 1819, December 13, 1841 in Washington County, Georgia.
3.  Noah McGowan, born 1824.
4.  Hilliard McGowan, born March 1825.  Married Civility Freeman December 4, 1845 in Wilkinson County, Georgia.  She was born in 1827.
5.  Alexander McGowan, born 1829.  Married Isabella who was born around  1832 in Georgia.
6.  Sarah McGowan.

2nd generation:

Alexander McGowan married Isabella around 1854, probably in Georgia.

Children of Alexander and Isabella:
1.  William B. McGowan, born abt. 1855 in Alabama.
2.  Susan C. McGowan, born abt. 1856 in Alabama.
3.  Sarah McGowan, born abt. 1857 in Alabama.
4.  Mary "Mollie" McGowan, born March 11, 1866 in Alabama; died January 29, 1929 in Holmes County, Florida.  Married Peter Franklin Ingalls September 13, 1891 at Mt. Ida Congregationalist Church in Holmes County, Florida.  Mollie and Peter are both buried at Mt. Ida Congregationalist Church in Holmes County, Florida.
5.  Nathan McGowan, born abt. 1871 in Alabama.

3rd generation:

Mary "Mollie" McGowan married Peter Franklin Ingalls.  Peter was born November 16, 1866 in Wisconsin to Peter Riley and Eliza Ann Quiner Ingalls. 

Children of Peter and Mollie:
1.  Edith (Edie) D. Ingalls, born abt. 1894 in Florida.  Edith was named after a sailing ship Peter took down the Missippi river.  Edie never married but she had two daughters, Nellie born September 1916 and Mabel born September 1918.
2.  Alexander "Bud" Ingalls, born abt. 1897 in Florida.
3.  Florence E. Ingalls, born abt. 1899 in Florida.  Married Lawrence Lindsey.
4.  Fred Franklin Ingalls, born abt. 1903 in Florida.
5.  Mary Emily "Emma" Ingalls, born November 5, 1905 in Florida.  Married Marcus Alexander Huggins in 1933, probably in Geneva County, Alabama.  Died October 29, 1996 in Bonifay, Holmes County, Florida.  Buried in Poplar Head United Methodist Cemetery in Holmes County, Florida.

4th generation:

Mary Emily "Emma" Ingalls married Marcus Alexander Huggins.  Marcus was born February 21, 1910 in Holmes County, Florida to John Newton and Martha Jane (Mattie) Watson Huggins.  He died August 8, 1989 in Bonifay, Holmes County, Florida. 

Child of Marcus and Emma:
1.  Marcus Gordon Huggins.  Still living.
