Strange Files Guide
If you are downloading gamez, you will probably encounter files you've never seen before, so I will try to explain what they are and what to do with them in here.
*.rar
These files are packed by winrar, they are packed because the filesize decreases then. These files can easily extracted by winrar.

*.zip
Same as rar-files, this one can be extracted by winrar and winzip

*.r01
These files always come together with a rar-file, you have to open the rar-file and click extract, al the r01, r02 etc. etc. will be extracted then.

*.bin
Well BIN files are just a format of storing the entire contents of a CD within a single file. The simplest way to "use" your BIN file is to burn it onto a CD. Another way to access the contents of the BIN is to mount it onto a virtual drive of some sort, be it the CloneDrive, AlcoholDrive or DaemonTools or whatever. Lastly you can simply extract the contents of the BIN using any number of tools such as CDMage, ISOBuster, WinISO or UltraISO.

*.cue
The .CUE file contains the track layout information, while the .BIN file holds the actual data.

*.iso
ISO files are actually images of complete CDs compiles as one whole image.  ISO images can be loaded into several different CD recording software packages to create CDs. These files are just like bin-files and can be used by the same way.

*.sfv
Well this s a checksum for the iso files you downloaded. It's to make sure all the files are downloaded correctly. It's size shouldn't be more than a couple of k.

*.bat
These files are programs, which mostly extracts the data-files from games, you need to run these programs to be able to play the games.

*.bob
These files can be downloaded by Bobdown, but I don't like this way of downloading so you won't see a lot of bob-files on my site.

°.torrent
These files can be downloaded by bittorrent, but I even hete this way of downloading so you certainly won't find any of these here.

I have a .BIN file but no .CUE?

A PC CD-ROM .CUE looks like this:

FILE "image-name.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

"image-name.BIN" being the name of the image file (IWDII.BIN, CIV3.BIN and so on...)

Notice the difference of the track mode - PC-ROMs being Mode 1, Playstations CDs Mode 2 and (Super)Video CDs are also MODE2/2352.
