well....you wanna know more about me.  i'll do what i can.  first, props out to bluishorange.com because im sorta using her "me" page as a template for this "me" page -- but hers is way better because its a kickass background design and just WAY better -- i thought it was really cool.

im: melissa, a 19 year old molecular biology and genetics student at the university of guelph

from: embro, ontario - we're still proud about our tug of war team at the worlds fair in 18-something.  only in embro.  :)  what a town.

faves: music, concerts, friends, pizza, pitas, jube jubes, movies, making cds, internet, guitar, voice,

but: don't pressure me to sing -- im kinda shy about the whole thing.  which i don't get, because i LOVE to play and sing and i'd love for people to hear me -- there's just some subconscious thing where the whole thing is just weird.  my friends know me and love me for it -- karrie tried to get me to sing for matt at school and i was so damned positive i wasn't going to, the pressure just made me wanna cry.  he heard me anyways since i had recorded some mp3s of me singing, and that made me feel weird too....sometimes i wish it was all just a dream.....

and: one day i'll wake up cured of this insipid shyness and i'll be able to sing my brains out and just do whatever -- and then this absolutely wonderful record exec will hear me and just know that i'll be "the next big thing" and will sign me to a contract and i'll make a record which will sell gazillions of copies and i'll become really famous and will attend hollywood parties with my cousin but i'll still have enough time to finish my ph.d. in medical genetics from ubc and find the gene responsible for cancer as well as a plethora of other diseases, all while touring my latest diamond-selling album under a pseudonym at little clubs and getting to know my fans.

meanwhile: im working at the woodstock business improvement area for the summer earning some cash for my expensive tuition and residence for next semester.  its a good job.  the girls here are great.  heidi, kelly, kelly, kellie, wow.  its a good job.

family: is important.  i don't know what i'd do without mine -- and not just immediate family -- im talking cousins and extended family and friends who are like family to you.  katie is a godsend -- i don't know what i'll do when she's away in bc for school -- you bet there'll be lots of icq-ing and emailing.
