Maggie

Our new girl, Maggie.
On July 17, 2000 we decided to go to Animal Control.  Levi
had been looking lonley since his brother Dusty crossed over the
bridge so we decided he needed a new brother or sister.

They led us outside and in the large cage were all wild
strays.  But in the middle was this little one with shinney
fur, big bright eyes and a bright red plaid collar on.  She did
not look like she fit in.  They said she was brought in because her
owner could not take care of her.  She had all her shots was
sprayed and was due to be put down.

Of course I would have loved to have been able to take them all
home but since we couldn't do that we took Maggie.  The place she
was in was clean but still, there was no litter box.  They just went on
the cement and the people hosed it down.  Their food was just thrown
on the ground and it was outside and very hot.

Her little feet were dirty and she didn't smell too good.  So we
took her to the vet and made sure she was in good health and they
gave her a bath.  She smelled wonderful!

When we took her out of the carrier she ran around the house
from room to room.  She used the litter box, found the spare
bed and curled up next to the stuffed animal and slept for about
10 hours straight.  We figured that must of felt so good for her
to be able to sleep on something soft and not be afraid.

That is the story on how Maggie came to live with us.  And now,
Here's Maggie!!!

Mew effuryone!  See dat little black kitty above?  Dat looks just
like me.  Well I just luff my new home and I hope I will be
here furrever!  There is lots of food and soft places to sleep.
I haf a broffur too, his name is Levi.

All of us here believe dat Dusty led my new family to me.  I
didn't know him but I feel like I did.  I look a lot like Dusty's
wink-wink Neek.  She is my girl furiend now and is showing
me da ropes.  I want to grow up to be like her.

Well since I am new here we'll be adding stuff on me as we
go.  We haf a lot of time, a whole life time so please come
back and check fur updates often.
