Living With Paralysis
a project of love dedicated to Michael

Michael, my husband since 1990, was paralyzed (a c4,5,6 compression fracture) June 16, 1974 in a diving accident. He was 21 years old. At that time, the doctors gave him a maximum of 6 years to live.

Although Michael has had many doctors, we have had to learn much about his special needs on our own. The doctors either were not knowledgeable or simply neglected to tell him the details of being paralyzed.

I would like very much for this to change. With that in mind, this page is dedicated to living with paralysis. I will include tips we've learned throughout the years and useful links to sites dealing with paralysis.
