Manana's Page
We called her Mama! Staying at her B&B was like taking a trip home. She was up in the
mornings when we were and always had breakfast ready when we sat down. Breakfast
consisted of fruits, jams, cheeses, fresh yogurt, omlettes, and always a dish of caviar.
I have never eaten so much caviar in my life.
Her rates are $90 per night including breakfast. Dinners can be arranged but you can bet that everytime you come into the house she will have some fresh fruits from the market or a cake she has just baked to offer you.
Her house was "just like home" with modern comfortable rooms and space for moving around. She even has a regulation sized billiard table in outer room for her guests. If she happens to be booked when you call she has an arangement with the people across the street who also have a B&B. She is expanding and plans to add more rooms soon. Since there is only one other hotel in the city, The Metechi Palace, (starting at $200 per night) Mama's house is the best you can find. And quite nice! ( The hotels that were left over from the Communist days, like the Iveria, are still owned by the government and are being used to house some 250,000 refugees from Abkazia)
