Belle and Sebastian

     This Scottish band has been gaining increasing momentum since its initial offering, Tigermilk, was released in 1,000 copies on vinyl.  Their brand of melancholy stories coupled with simple musical accompaniments and frontman Stuart Murdoch's sweet, lilting voice keeps their fanbase growing.  Their story is almost magical: being "discovered" in a music business class, releasing four studio albums, and moving on to recently win the Best Newcomer Brit Award.
