Botan, a Grim Reaper, or a ferry girl that brings souls to Reikai where they can rest in peace. She was the one to greet Yusuke at his accidental death and she's followed him around ever since. After Yusuke gained his title as a Spirit Detective, Botan was also granted the title of Detective's Assistant. She delivers his new missions, gives any sort of help like items or such and has amazing healing abilities.

Botan is very bubbly despite her job as a "Grim" Reaper. Though she's very optimistic, she's not ditzy, she has her information about things, and she does need it in assisting Yusuke.
