BIG NEWS!! (possible upcoming movie) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is from The Los Angeles Daily News PERSON TO PERSON: David Arquette reports that "The Shrink Is In," the movie he and wife Courteney Cox made way back in 1999, has finally seen release. Well, kind of. "Someone told me he saw it during a flight -- so I guess it's gone straight to plane," says David. Which means it must have gotten a distributor? "Yeah, TWA," cracks Arquette. But, seriously ... the frustrations inherent in bringing the "Shrink" comedy to the public have not soured Arquette on working with Courteney again. In fact, he tells us there's a project, "Caught in the Act," that he aims to produce with his wife as leading lady. "It's a comedy with drama that revolves around a community theater," he says. "A sweet story that's very well written." Arquette, who has the films "Eight Legged Freaks" and "The Grey Zone" slated for release this year, also has the picture "A Foreign Affair" in the can. And now he's ready to kick back. He's just completed the role of kidnapper Barry Keenan in Showtime's "Stealing Sinatra" -- the saga of the 1963 kidnapping of Frank Sinatra Jr. -- in Vancouver. Now he says he's looking forward to hanging out at the beach with Courteney. She's started her summer hiatus from "Friends." The tabloids, he says, with what seems like a mixture of relief and delight, have cooled off on attacking their marriage. He figures that's because, "We haven't been out a lot, and we're kind of boring; we don't do anything scandalous. Once in a while they make up a story, but for the most part, we're under the radar." Now, he notes, they've got fresh targets, like Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. "We're sorry they have to deal with that, but better them than us. They're young -- they can take it." |
