| VISION *Individuals who require a safe and supportive environment will find that here at FlynnsHope. Our home is serene, well-maintained, clean and sober. FlynnsHope offers a resident the opportunity to remove themselves from unhealthy surroundings and to concentrate on their recovery. While living life on life's terms, each resident can practice new methods of dealing with life stressors and relapse triggers, improving social/life skills and committing to a sober lifestyle. GOAL *To give those in recovery a chance to value their safe, clean and sober living accomadations and have incentives to permit a new set of values to be substituted for the negative values of an unhealthy lifestyle in which alcohol and drugs were used. In so doing, ultimatley helping themselves achieve their goals in sobriety in the community. *Restore self-esteem and self-worth through :exercising responsibility; helping others; resocializing; and constructive pride in maintaining an alcohol and drug-free living environment without any outside authority. *To assist those, who have been substance abusers, to achieve and maintain a clean and sober lifestyle in order to return to society, self-sufficient, independent, and healthy as productive members of the community. CRITERIA * Must be clean and sober at time of application. *Must attend regular 12 step program or other recovery/support program. * Must have a desire to stay clean and sober, and exhibit a highly visible lifestyle that is indicative of a sincere recovery effort. * Must be willing to abide by the house rules of Flynnshope without exception. *Must be willing to help others in their quest in recovery. BOUNDARIES AND GUIDELINES: *Must be willing to work a 12 step program and accept 12 step support. FlynnsHope is an alcohol and drug free living environment with 12 Step recovery programs as a primary focus. A minimum of one 12 Step meeting per day is requested for all residents. Work shops and Step Studies are provided on-site. *Persons resisding at FlynnsHope must abstain from alcohol and illegal drugs in or away from the house and grounds. Any person violating this boundary will be expelled immediately. *No one will jeopardize the safety of the house, occupants, or volunteers. *Any person violating this boundary will leave immediately. *Smoking only in designated areas. Dispose of butts in containers provided - not on the ground. *Length of stay determined on an individual basis. *Respect for other occupants - no noise during quiet/rest times. *Respect for facilitator and other volunteers. *Visitors are permitted by invitation only, and only with the acknowledgment of the facilitator. *The visitor and their actions are the responsibility of the occupant who invites them. Any visitor violating the boundaries at FlynnsHope will be immediatly expelled from the property. *Cleaning up after yourself (kitchen, laundry room, living room, personal space, )is expected and required. COST *We are a non-profit organization that relies solely on donations.There will be NO Fee charged during your stay at FlynnsHope. Expenses for personal items such as clothing, toiletries, long-distance phone calls, stationery, stamps, magazines, etc. are the responsibility of each individual. Optional consultations with outside physicians and/or specialists, prescriptions and/or supplemental nutrients are also the responsibility of the guest. HOUSE CHORES Each person will be responsible for a particular household chore and will keep personal spaces reasonably tidy during their occupancy. RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES/CRAFTS/HOBBIES Persons are invited to choose the pastimes they enjoy and are kindly requested to return equipment/ materials/ games to their proper place in the House. Try it for 90 days, and if you don't like it, we'll gladly refund your misery. An Occupancy Agreement must be signed by the occupant stating they understand the boundaries and guidelines before a room can be occupied. OUTCOME We hope that FlynnsHope will effect the community at large in many positive ways. When an individual enters FlynnsHope working towards becoming a productive member of society, society as a whole benefits. The burden to our welfare, penal and taxation system decreases, family violence decreases and the chain of dysfunction passed down through generations can be halted. The positive effects on the community are evident not to mention the priceless gift of seeing a fellow human being gain back their, self worth, dignity and freedom. Yesterday is a cancelled cheque, tomorrow is a promissory note, only today is cash in the bank. Why FlynnsHope? Because you have value!
