Because an AA group can not own property, a separate entity is needed, thus Flynnshope, came into existence. Even though the origins of FlynnsHope lie in Alcoholics Anonymous, the heart and soul of FlynnsHope is with those individuals who still suffer and want to reclaim their lives from the bondage of alcoholism, and/or drug addiction. The FlynnsHope Facility, is not meant to be a Clinic but rather a place of refuge where individuals can escape their harmful environments and find solace within the walls and grounds of FlynnsHope. This indeed is a lofty endeavour but obtainable dream ! |
My name is " Flynn " and I am a survivor ! No matter where my life will take me, I will have the knowledge that I am a survivor to hold onto. But there was a time when there had been no safety- no one, no time, no place, no thing - All was tainted. Hope was obliterated -time and time again. I am grateful today for all those who found me and reached out to me ,even when I pushed them away, and that was often. For their tenacity I am also grateful ! Their wisdom invaluable.! They gave me Hope ! |
Each time you confront despair you get stronger ... you can't know now what you will ultimately be able to do with this new morsel of strength, what future battles you will be able to win. Don't give up, if you die today you will never again feel love for another human being, or trust, or gratitude.You will never again see kindness and compassion in another's eyes . The will to live is not a cruel punishment, even if it feels like that at times: it is a priceless gift. You deserve the peace that will come after the battle is won, and it will be won, but only minute by minute, one day at a time. We at FlynnsHope believe it is critical that you survive.! |
