Thursday 26.

I never did end up going out to rent those movies or to buy those magazines.  Instead,  I did the classic webgeek thing to do and changed my modem from high speed to dial-up in order to make a site for my nasty ol' journal.  Sounds like a plan to me!  So,  here's what it looks like.  It's not exactly snazzy or anything,  but it's pretty good considering I have no webdesign talents what-so-ever.  I think so,  anyways.  Pagebuilder is good enough for me...  until I get my hands on some html knowledge asides from "b for bold and i for italics."

I'm doing a fair bit better than I was earlier on.  People filling the house once again certainly is a comforting feeling.  As is the fact that I can soon take more pain medication.  Woot.

It recently occured to me that,  though some of you people know more about me than I let on to most,  others only know like a tiny snippet of who I am...  So,  I'm now going to try to remedy the siuation by telling you about myself.  And no,  you don't have a choice...  You see,  I've locked all of the doors and barred the windows.

My name is claire.  I'm an eigth grade student at an advanced math and science highschool.  Most of my education has been in french,  so I've managed to lose most of my english for lack of practice.  You'll surely notice this from time to time in my wrting (and inability to spell certain words.)  I sing in operas and would really like to continue studdying music to pursue a career in the arts.  I suck at this whole web builiding thing,  so bare with me and I may surprise you (though I highly doubt it.)  I'm not the most interesting person,  but I get into a lot of "zany predicaments" and go on many "kooky adventures."  Yeah,  me and the whole gang on Scooby Doo.  Uh...  I'm a petite brunette with dark blue eyes and an unfortunate chest size.  My breasts kept me out of the National Ballet School,  so I guess you could say that I'm a bitter little girl,  full of resentment...  But I'd probably bite you if you did.  I don't fit in with any generalisations,  so I'm a meli-melo of a bit of this and a bit of that.

I don't write...  it's not really my thing.  The whole journal thing is new to me,  but I'm trying.

Saturday 28

It's 1:22pm and I've only been up for a short while.  Ahhh,  the joy of weekends.  I had the brilliant idea of going through my dad's stash of cd's that he doesn't really like.  Wow,  such swag!  Empire Records soundtrack,  U2- The Joshua Tree,  some compelation of Bob Marley's greatest stuff and some Billie Holiday.  I'm grinning my fool head off here!  I'd also like to worship
Liz for bringing Tori Amos to my attention.  I've downloaded a few of her songs (Playboy Mommy is my favorite so far) and I simply adore her!  Thanks.

I just got a call from my friend Luca.  I don't know why,  but he's such a cheerful person and he puts me in a great mood.  I'm getting better (it was a complicated ruptured cyst...  hurts like a bitch for a little while and then goes away...  woot.) and the pain pills work nicely.

I guess it's spring.  The weather is nice and a young girl's fancy turns to sandals.  I have these flipflops that I got for a couple of bucks in the states last year and I just love em to pieces!  My toes are cute,  so I figure I can get away with it.

I figure that I'm all techno now.  I downloaded an mp3 player and updated my OS.  Quick!  Somebody stop me before I learn html!  Uh...  huh huh.

ovaries:  I like my pain medication quite a fair deal.
