SAMARIA  LONG  WAY
   We will start from the heart of the White Mountains, the Omalos plateau, where you have the possibility for breakfast. The entrance of the longest gorge in Europe (11mls) is 4000 ft.up. We walk down the gorge over rocks and stones, through a forest and along springs into the most impressive mountain section of Crete.

Here live the last Kri-Kris (Cret. Mount. - goats) in the wild. Since the walk is very difficult and lasts 5-6 hours, you will need strong trainers or walking boots, thin clothes, a hat and sun protection.

ATTENTION:
This walk is NOT recommended for children under the age of 6, pregnant women and people with health problems.

At the end of the gorge wearrive at the Libyan sea in Agia Roumeli for a swim, recreation and a meal at the local taverns. After that a ferry-boat will take us to Chora Sfakion, where our bus is waiting to take us back to Rethimnon. (about 5.30-19.00)

SAMARIA - Gorge (Lazy  way)
   The bus takes us to Chora Sfakion, from there we take the ferry-boat to Ag. Roumeli, the south end of the Samaria-gorge.

During the stay you have the opportunity to walk until the Iro Gates, the most narrow part of the Samaria-gorge.

There is also enough time to swim and lunch. This can be a family-tour, since you decide for yourselves, how fast and how far you would like to walk. In the evening the boat takes us back to the bus.  (about 7.00-19.00)

 SAMARIA  - GORGE  (Lazy way)
For people who like an unusual challenge, an adventure for people who do not possess just a minimal degree of fitness. Experience in a new and totally different way the longest, the deepest and most famous gorge of Europe. We start the tour at the south end of the gorge in Agia Roumeli at the beautiful libyan sea and hike upwards to the Omalos plane, 4000 feet above sea level. There we have enough time for a traditional meal at a local tavern before we start our way back to Rethymno, driving through green orange and lemon groves.
You will have a fantastic view of the peninsula Akrotiri, of Chania - the beautiful former capital of Crete and of the Souda bay. (about 07.30-22.00)

Chania - Akrotiri - Monastery Tzagarolon - Maleme

First we visit on the Akrotiri peninsula the tomb of E. Venizelos as well as the monastery of Tsagarolon, Ag. Triada (knee covered clothes!).

Then follows a little City - tour by foot of Chania with the free-time for a stroll. There are many historical buildings, a huge market-hall and the venetian harbour to visit. Afterwards we drive to the German war cemetary in Maleme.  (about 8.00-16.30)

Chania - City
We first stop in the Souda bay at the english war - cemetary and then we will visit the tomb of Elefterios Venizelos, from where we have a fantastic view of Chania and the White Mountains.

Then follows a little City tour by foot through Chania, the former capital of Crete, where you then have enough free time for a stroll through the romantic old town and for visit to the archaelogical or the naval museum. There are many historical monu-ments and plenty of possibilities for shopping, for example in the leather alley or in the huge market-hall, which is built in the shape of a cross. (about 9.00-16.30)

Photo-Safari-Frangokastello-Monastery Preveli

Crete appears romantic and wild. We will first visit Georgioupoli. Then we cross the ending of the White Mountains reaching on the south coast the venetian Fortress of Frangokastello, built in the 14th Century!

After that you have the possibility for a swim and lunch at the Lybian Sea in Plakias.

Afterwards we visit the Monastery of Preveli, built in the 17th Century (knee covered clothes!). On our return we go through the wild Kourtaliotiko gorge.  (about 8.00-18.30)

AXOS - CRETAN NIGHT
Come with us to the historically village of Axos and enjoy an unforgettable folkloric evening.

During a typical greek dinner you will be entertained by cretan live music and a group of dancers, who will not only entertain you, but they will also invite YOU to dance with them.

The dinner and also as much wine as you can handle are of course in the price included. (about 17.30-00.00)

Ag. Nikolaos-Elounda-Spinalonga
A tour to the eastern part of Crete. In the charming little city of Ag. Nikolaos you will have the time for a stroll.

For the lunchbreak we drive to the village Elounda and of course these is also enough time for swim.

At Elounda we'll start a boat-trip to the small rocky island Spinalonga (Europe's as last leper colony) - where there are still ruins of a Venetian fortress.  (about 7.30-19.30)

Elafonisi-Monastery Crisoskalitissas
A  beachtour of a very special kind - in the southwest corner of Crete - to the island of Elafonissi.

We drive through the Topolia gorge and after a coffee stop we arrive at the monastery of Chrisoskalitissas («the golden stair»). We follow a street, down to the beach, and you can walk through pink sand to the island of Elafonissi.

You have enough free time to enjoy the crystal clear water. On our way back we will stop in a village at a tavern.. (about 07.00-19.00)

Preveli  Beach
An this trip we are going to visit South Crete and the famous sandy Beach of Preveli.

On the way we'll drive through the wild Kourtaliotiko Gorge where we'll stop to visit it's magnificent waterfalls.

Afterwards we continue to the small river to swim and relax on the most idyllic beach of our island.

On our return after a small trip we arrive at Plakias, from where the bus takes us back to Rethimno. (about 09.00-18.00)

Imbros  Gorge
The Imbros-Gorge runs parallel to the Samaria-gorge. Although not as well known as the Samaria-gorge, its natural beauty runs for 5mls, and presents an easier walk through, that will take most walkers about 3h's.

You need comfortable shoes or trainers. Afterwards the bus takes us to a beautiful beach at the Lybian sea for a swim, there are also taverns for lunch. This tour is also good for children. (about 7.30-18.30)

Knossos - Archaeology  Museum - Heraklion 

The first palace of the Minoan culture, that is the cradle of Europe.

We follow a conducted (english) tour of the palace of King Minos as well as of the archaelogical museum of Heraklion, where there are also many properties of Phaestos, Malia and Zakros.

The lunchbreak is in Heraklion and there is also free time for a stroll. (about 07.30-17.30)

Phaestos-Gortys-Matala-Spili
This tour has a little of everything: archaeology, villages and a beach. Our first stops is in Gorty's, the former Roman Capital of Crete. Followed by a guided tour through the Minoan palace of Phaestos, from where you have a impressive view of the Messara-plain.

Afterwards we go for a swim and have lunch at Matala Bay – famous since the 70s, for its caved cliffs. On our way back we will make our last stop in the village Spili known for its «lion fountain». (about 7.30-18.30)
