Britney

Her hair is yellow. That's weird.

I really, really like this cd. It's a big step up from her last two albums and I listen to it more than I should. Go Britney go!

I'm A Slave 4 U: Well, it's different, that's for sure. And I like different. I heard it first at the VMA's like most people and immediately started to sing it. Although, while reading the lyrics one day it was discovered that there are subliminal messages in the background. Dirty messages too. Things like "I like that. Ooh. Yeah." Whatever, I still like it. I know the dance to this song. "I feel like talkin', feel like dancin'" when I hear this song. Hehe. I like the Neptunes and I like Britney. So in conclusion: the Neptunes + Britney + A fun beat + Awesome dance moves = This song.

Overprotected: I used to not mind the digital thing, but now that she's not as digital, it bothers me in songs like this one. I like the message of the song though, and that has to count for something. Aside from the digital stuff, this is one of my many theme songs on this album. And she says "damn" several times. Apparently taking it to the next level involves cussing. ::shrug:: It's okay, but I wouldn't be happy if it was a single.

Lonely: Someone wants to be Janet Jackson just a little bit too much now, don't you think? Hmmm. Like in the awesome break down "I think of all the times you made me sick..." I like that part. A lot. I may or may not dance to it everytime it's on. Ahem. Shhh, don't tell. I want you to compare this song to Janet's song Son Of A Gun and try, just try to tell the difference. You can't do it.

I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman: Normally I'm not a big fan for Britney ballads. However, this song is awesome. Maybe it's because it's written by Dido, maybe it's because it's not 5 minutes long. I feel that I can relate to this song, as stupid as that may sound. Because I'm a not girl, but not yet a woman... You know? I think they call that inbetween stage that she's talking about "teenager." Hahaha. And then there's the constant "What? She's not a girl? Then what is she?" from my dad everytime this song comes on the radio. I'm happy that this was her second single because it shows growth and it's good to hear something new from her.

Boys: My favorite line is at the end: "Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em." That's so tongue in cheek or... Something like that. I like the dirty beat to the song. ::Gets cds booklet:: Oh! Also produced by the Neptunes. That explains things more. The lyrics to this song are true, "Boys, sometimes a girl just needs one." Yes. Well, it makes me wanna bump and grind everytime I hear it.

Anticipating: This is my song. This is the song that I will blast out my car when I get my license in a few months. I heart this song. The way it's all mellowed out and sing-songy is wonderful. Anyone else think of NSYNC's The Two Of Us when they hear this? I do and both are awesome songs. She should release this because that would make me happy. Heh. :)

I Love Rock 'N Roll: Dear Britney, Remakes are bad. Stop doing them. Thank you. PS. How come you claim to love rock 'n roll, but sing pop? Love Always, Brenda. If I have the choice, I skip this one except for sugar highs because then it's fun to groove to.

Cinderella: So creative and wonderful! I like the comparison to Cinderella, I really do. The part about running away has yet to click in my mind, but it's all good. This is song is a little digital, but I still like it. What's with the "I'm back, do that, but Cinderella, ow, was all you had to say" line? I don't get it! I really don't! The talking part reminds me of something that I can't quite my finger on. Hmmm. Oh well. I like this song because it's fun. Yes.

Let Me Be: Did you know that this song is on the On The Line soundtrack? It is. I'm just a wealth of information, aren't I? Heh. What instrument do they use in the beginning? I like it. "You try to read me, you try to figure out. You try to breathe me, but you can't blow me out." Deep. lol. The chorus is a little annoying, but I find myself never skipping this song, so... Yeah. The hypocritical me strikes again! Britney did write this one, and that makes me wonder if it's about the media or what. Cause she's all "Just let me be!" and what not. No matter what, it's cool with me.

Bombastic Love: There's no doubt that she wrote this about Justin. Hello? "It turned into an art not to show the world that it was you." Yeah... More fun instruments at the beginning! Woo hoo! Although it's really digital. Like, hella digital. I don't love this song, but I don't hate it. I can deal with it, but if I had a choice I wouldn't put it on. The way she says "moo-oo-vies" is annoying. And! More mad rhyming skills from Britney: "Compromise.... Realize" Wow. lol.

That's Where You Take Me: Apparently I'm the only one who doesn't like this song. I think it's boring. Sorry to disappoint. The only part of this song that is like is how she doesn't sound digital and how she says "Oh baby, oh baby" because I'm a sap like that. Heh. Maybe I'm missing something, but I just fall asleep to this one.

What It's Like To Be Me: Two songs in a row with "me" in the title. Why does that amuse me so? Anyway, this is my other song on the cd. Justin wrote a good song, I'll admit it. I do however think that his voice sticks out in the background vocals too much. They should've just made it a duet. ::sigh:: My favorite line? "Walk a mile in my shoes." Yes! This song is the shiznet.

I wanna rock with you... You feelin' me right? Let's do this tonight.
