NSYNC's Dumb Fans

I'm sure you all saw that banner on an NSYNC site or two. I even saw it edited so it looked like this:

On a Backstreet Boys site. The only thing that bothers me about this is that the NSYNC fans were so confident that NSA would beat Millenium's sales record. I mean when Millenium came out nobody was like "This cd is gonna set a new record!," it just happened. But NSYNC fans were so damn sure that NSA would set a new record it kinda makes you wonder. I mean, how can one million people go out and buy one cd on one day? I thought about that for a while because it took BSB a week to sell that many. Here's what I came up with:

*Jive shipped out 4 million copies of NSA on the first day. They shipped out 2 million the second day. Therefore, no store would run out of it. Jive never did that for BSB. They just shipped out how ever many they'd ship out for a regular cd.

*Most NSYNC fans bought more than one copy. [According to MTV News: 36% bought more than 1 and 18% bought more than 5. What do you need with 5 copies?] And not just to have another copy but so NSYNC would beat the record. They figured that if everyone bought 2 or more copies, it would totally destroy BSB's record. Which if you ask me is plain stupid.

*Publicity. Do you know how many freaking tv shows they were on? Yes, BSB were too but I think NSYNC were on more. Everytime I turned on the tv it was NSYNC. Like Carson said, they were on MTV more in those 2 weeks than him! I got sick of seeing Justin's 'fro everytime I changed the channel. But the thing is, made sure nobody would miss the album release date. No one. Even my dad knew it was coming out. And he never knows anything about music.

*Record stores used to delete multiple sales. Like say you went out and bought 5 copies of NSA. They would only count 1. To be fair cause the whole thing is like how many people bought it not how many cds each person bought. But they stopped doing that. Meaning what? If they still did it, NSYNC wouldn't have a new record on their hands. Or at least not such a big one.

So there you have it. A few things I have collected as to why NSYNC sold so many freaking cds. I would just like to say one thing:

BSB sold their 1.13 million cds the first week fairly. Nobody told the fans to go out and buy more than one copy to break Garth Brooks' record. It was just a normal cd release day. And it turned into a record selling week. What I'm getting at here is that NSYNC's fans are stupid. Now don't get pissed at me cause I am a fan and I did buy it the first day. But the reason they are stupid is because all they cared about was breaking the Backstreet Boys' record. The whole reason they went out and bought NSA the first day was to break the record. Well all of you teenyboppers who did that are considered stupid in my book. It shows that you are completely immature and only care about making "your" band the best. Does it matter? Did Korn fans go out and buy multiple copies of Issues to beat BSB's record? NO. They bought 1 because they wanted 1. Because do to contrary belief [Just kidding Kristen, you know I love you!], they are normal. Why do you think all of them hate all you teenyboppers? Because it shows that you don't like them for the music, you are only determined in beating their rival's record. Which is why, unless somehow all the fans prove that they do like NSYNC for their music, I will always have a strong dislike for NSYNC fans. I don't care if you send me hatemail. I would like to know what you think. If you agree, tell me also.

[I know this is pretty long. I didn't mean to type this much but once I got started I couldn't really stop. And I know the thoughts are kinda unorganized but I don't care. Okay?]

Every little thing I do, never seems enough for you!
