Well. I went to the Z104 Starz Party... Very interesting. So here's a minute by minute review of how the show went. Please note that all times are not exact, but pretty close. The show was a while ago and I'm just now writing this. Also note that I did take pictures, but I don't own a scanner, therefore, I cannot scan them. [Go figure!] So just deal with what I have. Okay? Okay! So here's my thoughts on the show. Warning: It's kinda long.

Sunday, December 12, 1999

6:00 - I get in my car with friends. I have my camera and I am calling to my parents to get in the car. They just couldn't be ready.
6:05 - We're finally on the way. We are so excited. You could see the gleam in our eye. Not really, but it just sounds cool.
6:20 - We turn on Z104 and they are playing all of the songs by the people who will be there. I wonder why. I mean, we're going to hear them in a matter of hours. Kristen hears Girl On TV for the first time. Go her.
6:30 - My dad has gotten us lost. Now there's something new, haha right. Katie makes a sarcastic comment about the guy in the car next to us and my dad gets mad at her. He turns around the car and we are back on our way.
6:40 - It's dark. We see a black club with the white letters NATION on it. I feel scared by all of the gang symbols written on the suroundings. We notice that we're in the ghetto. Gotta love DC. My dad pays for parking and we see a crowd. Oh good we get to wait in line. I'm excited about that.
6:42 - We exit the car and make our way to the line. I see lots of people. Mostly girls. Who would've thought?
6:43 - We are in line and we have 17 minutes before we are let in. I stand in the freezing cold, jacketless [Being the smart one of the group...], talking to my friends. People stand around us talking.
7:00 - We're in! Some guy hands me a pamphlet on the military in Spanish. Does he think everyone in there is fluent in Espanol? No. Another example of the greatness of DC.
7:05 - We are compacted in a room. No one knows where the actual concert will be. We see a group moving, so we follow. We make it into the room and see the stage. We are right near a huge speaker and right under a huge disco ball. [Parrrrr-t!] We are about 50 rows back. It's okay, but my legs are weak already. Not a good sign.
7:30 - I hear that the show isn't starting until 8:30. So I listen to the continuous play of Blue and other crappy disco songs.
8:00 - The lights dim and "Z104's own Al!" comes out. It was funny though cause no one knew who he was. Haha.
8:10 - Okay, Al is interesting. I've heard his song before, I think on the Disk Drive @ 5. The shiny pants are annoying. His hoochie dancers are annoying too. He sings 2 songs, I take about 3 pictures.

*More disco crap is played and LFO is being chanted*

8:30 - The Z104 cast comes out. I have come to the conclusion that never want to see what people look like that you listen too. They look very bad. They have brought a special guest with them. You know how excited I am.
8:31 - It's Barry Williams. Greg from The Brady Bunch. No, I'm not joking. And he sang. He tells everyone to go buy his cd. I laugh. Hard. He was terrible and out of all of my pictures, that one came out the best. Figures.

*More disco crap is played and LFO is being chanted.*

9:00 - Vitamin C comes out. I was incredibly annoyed by that Smile song and Me, Myself And I wasn't much better. I thought she was pretty good, but I won't buy her cd. Her dancers were good too. Her hair color annoys me.

*More disco crap is played and LFO is being chanted throughout the club*

9:45 - LFO comes out! Lots of screams. Me and Katie work our way up, Kristen is staying with her new friends in the back.
9:46 - Rich is really cute in person. Sorry that I cannot scan a pic to show you, but take my word. They sing all of our favorites, and ask who has the cd. Everyone's hand goes up. I feel like I am being mean. I do not own it.
9:56 - Over Bite Mon [Devin] removes his shirt. He is built. Everyone screams. He throws the shirt into the crowd. Everyone is in hysterics. Personally, I don't see what I'd do with a sweaty shirt, but whatever floats your boat...
10:05 - They tell us to vote for them on TRL for about the 5th time. They tell us to buy the cd. [A little demanding if you ask me] We cheer. They were good. They exit the stage after closing with Summer Girls. [I think. I forgot.]

*More disco crap is played and chants for Christina fill the room*

10:20 - Me and Katie work up towards the front, probaby to the 20th row. We are right behind some old guy who is tall. I ask him if he can move over and he rolls his eyes. Sorry man! We move over to a guy who's head is in every single one of my pictures! ::sigh:: Again we wait.

10:22 - DJ Rap comes out. She is so damn annoying. All she is doing is spinning the turn tables. And then to make matters worse, she said "You guys are thirsty aren't you?Me too." while taking a huge sip of her water. She is evil I tell you pure evil! She throws glowy green things in the audience. I get one. I am so happy.

*Disco crap is played and Christina is chanted*

10:45 - Finally she leaves. Katie and I manuever over to the side of the stage. We make it to 8th row. I sit down. My legs are in so much pain, and I have PE the next day. I am not a happy camper.

10:50 - Christina Aguilera comes out. Everyone cheers. She sings a song, then tells everyone how much she loves us and that her birthday is in a week. Someone brought her a gift, and she steals some guys hat. She sings some more.
11:00 - She sings What A Girl Wants and while I am trying to take pictures, she tells everyone to throw their hands in the air. Hiss to you. Then she does the same thing for Genie In A Bottle. I was mad. But she has such an awesome voice, and she's a good dancer too.
11:10 - The Z104 crew comes out again and says thanks and all that stuff. I exit towards the door. My mom is paranoid cause we can't find Kristen. I find her. We get in the car. I am dizzy.
11:40 - Home! I walk into my house and put my DJ Rap thing in my freezer. I run up to bed. I have school the next day.
6:40AM - I fall asleep on the bus. Kristen and I are zombies. Fun.

Overall, it was fun. I've had my first club experience, but I don't know if I'd go back to another concert there. I will if there are seats though.

From my experience I have learned the following things:

*I hate the song Blue.
*Rich from LFO is really cute.
*DJ Rap sucks.
*Christina Aguilera has the best voice, I love it.
*That man that's in all of my pictures is evil.
*That other man is evil for not throwing me any water.
*Vitamin C is okay, but her hair is neon yellow.
*Al has hoochies for dancers.
*LFO's dancers suck.
*Janet Elliot looks like the mom on The Brady Bunch.
*Everyone who works at Z104 is ugly.
*Clubs are fun.
*Concerts at clubs are fun, but only with chairs.
*Barry Williams cannot sing. It was bad.
*Concerts on Sunday nights are only fun if there is no school the next day.
