6. George Danbrook (see James) was born in Darsham, Suffolk, England in 1827. He emigrated to Canada with his family in 1841. Along with his brother James, he walked from Aurora, north of Toronto, to Blandford Twp., Oxford County in 1851 with am axe on his shoulder to clear land for a homestead. He built a log cabin on the south side of the 4th Concession Road just west of James. In the 1870's George moved his family to Elma Twp. near Atwood. He married Margaret Lamont.
