In 1992, the Fort Bend
Archeological Society (FBAS) was created to promote scientific archeological
exploration and research, for the preservation and conservation of
archeological materials and sites, to interpret and publish data attendant
thereto and most importantly, to education it’s membership and the public to
the aims of archeology.
In that time, thousands of volunteer hours have been spent excavating sites
across

public. You are also invited to attend one of the local digs or visit our
archeology lab. If you are interested in doing more, we invite you to become a

FBAS Meetings
Regular FBAS
meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month. In 2009,
the meeting dates are January 14, February 11, March 11, April 8, May 13, (no
meeting in June), July 8, August 12, September 9, October 14, November 11 and
December 9. Meetings are generally held at the George Memorial Library located
