Society - An affiliation of the Fort
In 1992, the Fort Bend Archeological Society (FBAS) was created to promote scientific archeological exploration and research, for the preservation and conservation of archeological materials and sites, to interpret and publish data attendant thereto and most importantly, to education itís membership and the public to the aims of archeology.
In that time, thousands of volunteer hours have been spent excavating sites

public. You are also invited to attend one of the local digs or visit our
archeology lab. If you are interested in doing more, we invite you to become a
member. For membership information and meeting times see below.

meeting in June), July 8, August 12, September 9, October 14, November 11 and
